What ails you?

(Anonymous) 2022-05-28 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
My back hurts, no matter what position I'm in. It is really fucking chronic. What is your ailment, get it off your chest. Especially if it is your chest.

Ever since I got strep throat three weeks ago, I've been constantly and mildly congested. Coughing stuff up all the time. Could just be allergies.

Allergies are pretty bad. My back isn't hurting so much at the moment, it was pretty bad for the last several weeks but it's quieted down. But various other body parts are aching.

Just... a constant feeling of being tired that doesn't seem to go away no matter how much sleep I get. And it's not even depression because I WANT to do FUN THINGS and I CAN and think about the things I wanna do all the time when I am laying down. But I feel too tired to properly enjoy them. Maybe it's the PMS or maybe it's my neurological disorder and migraines acting up in a different way, or maybe all of those who knows.

Very low vitamin D (12 nmol/L) plus very low folate (5.2 nmol/L), but the worst part is the fix, which is Very High Amounts of both that make me feel..... eurgh, to say the least.

My stomach. I’ve been feeling really anxious lately and it always makes my insides feel like they’re knotted up.

a rough cold, which i've had for the last two weeks and is currently manifesting as what feels like a golf ball in the left side of my throat and head (it was the right side last week)

...Where would I even start?

There's the usual gut pain, which this week has mostly been worst in the esophagus/lower esophageal sphincter, which sometimes just aches and sometimes starts cramping uncontrollably. Sometimes the cramps start there and go all the way up my esophagus. Sometimes the intestines get on the act too.

After not having had an actual period since new year's eve, another one started during ACen. Great timing, uterus. Can I just have it removed? I didn't use to get cramps, but it's like this one was making up for the months between and I was cramping for most of this last week, finally starting to calm down today.

One side of my tongue randomly hurts; it kind of feels like a soreness that migrated from my throat early this week which I assumed was dehydration because basically to be functional during ACen last weekend I didn't eat or drink anything except between 11pm-1am when I was planning on going to sleep right afterward and sleep through the pain. But since now my tongue hurts, maybe it's some kind of bacterial thing that started in the throat and crept upward. Whatever. It all pales in comparison to the gut pain.

My legs ache from walking and using stairs instead of elevators so I could avoid crowds all last weekend, and because the gut pain being level 9 on the pain scale on a daily basis means the rest barely registers, I've been biking 4-6km a day since getting back, so it's not like they've had any time to recover but again, it's only a minor annoyance and I'm trying to build up muscle.

On the bright side, no symptoms that could be attributed to covid after being around thousands of people last weekend. Not that I think I'll be out of the woods for at least another week, but so far so good.

Anxieties over unresolved trauma. It's been going off like crazy from a certain public event that I wish I could just shut out from my POV. I'm managing pretty well since I've come to have a lot of hobbies and am consciously trying to spend time with the people in my life. I just hate it when the event shows up and is like, "HEY REMINDER YOU CAN'T TALK TO ANYONE ABOUT THIS" and I have to do a lot of mental reminders to work around those feelings.
And I'm trying really hard not to feel like I'm constantly under a microscope with every move I make but whenever I'm feeling myself some guy gets all creepy on me. Trying hard not to let it affect me but it still can be unsettling (working on anxieties over attention given to me, especially in public, random spaces due to trauma).

My eyelids keep doing that muscle twitching thing because I haven't been getting good sleep lately. A friend told me it likely is from my mind being overactive at night when things get quiet. No more distractions. I hate it. I can fall asleep at 7-8PM and not need to be awake by a specific time but I'll still wake up after 4-5 hours and then I'll be sleeping on and off for hours. I usually have to be awake for work around 4:30-4:45 but I always wake up before/around 4AM. Even if I fall asleep at 8PM. Even if I fall asleep at 2AM.

Covid. I'm mostly just tired and coughing occasionally. I was already scheduled for a staycation this week, pre-catching covid, but now I don't have much energy to do all the stuff I had planned, and I don't want to meet up with anyone until I stop testing positive, even though I'm probably not contagious anymore.

I've stopped daily testing now that I've been cleared to go back to work, but I was still testing positive with home rapid tests on Thursday.

I figure I'll test again Monday which'll be two weeks since symptoms kicked in, and every Monday after until I test negative or run out of tests.

Back, too. But by now my whole body kind of hurts. And it will probably only get worse.

I've always sort of pushed this body too hard, so really it's partially my fault.

But it's the chronic fatigue that gets me.

I damaged this band of tissue on the side of my foot. It's mostly okay (read: bearable) during the day but I can hardly walk first thing in the morning when I wake up. It's rough.

I have a pain right in the middle of my upper back that I can feel pop and crunch if I move certain ways. I also have some indigestion/GI issues, but I blame that on getting my Gallbladder removed a little over a year ago.
