I liked Invincible and found Omni-Man interesting, but at this point I just want a Superman that is akin to the DCAU version.

It's the reason I hate the "Great Story = Realism = Grimdark" false equivalence that has polluted so many stories. I'm not even that much into superheroes, I just want a Superman that is good.

I am tired of grimdark deconstructions of superheroes in general, ESPECIALLY the same type as The Boys, where everyone is an asshole and no one does good because, you know, it's the right thing to do.

Right now, the only superhero deconstruction I can stand is Empowered, and I think one of the great things there is that there is NO evil Superman.

I’m going to drop a really strange rec here. The cartoon Roswell Conspiracies: Aliens, Myths and Legends had a Superman “deconstruction” of sorts, but a big part of it was that he was not and never became evil. I can’t be more specific without spoilers, unfortunately.
