Drink lots of water. Put a cool, wet towel over your head. Turn off the lights and try to rest.

Depends on the type of headache. Ice for migraine and tension, heat for sinus or allergy headache. eyemask, ear plugs, dark room. Nap.

Dark room and cold, almost icy towel over forehead and eyes.

Caffeine and lots of it. Granted mine tend to be about either migraines, caffeine withdrawal, or dehydration, so drinking something caffeinated actively helps two of those and ... kinda breaks even on the third, I guess.

mine are usually stress-caused so I like hot showers to relax. or a long walk.

Donuts. I’m not even kidding. Or something sweet. If the headache meds can’t touch my headache then something else is causing it then my usual issues and that something is usually a drop in sugar. And even when it isn’t, I am happy eating sweets so the serotonin boost helps fight off the headache enough for the medicine to start working.

It depends on where the headache is. Generally speaking, if the headache is at the front, you need more sleep. If it's on the top, you need more water. If it's at the back, you need less stress. On the sides/banded around, you need caffeine. Generally speaking.

Seconding ice packs and hot drinks, adding peppermint oil, especially for sinus headaches. It's dangerous to put it on your skin undiluted but I do anyway.

Hot - like, really hot - showers help sometimes. So does my roll pillow, with a heating pad placed on it, jacked up to HOT (it automatically turns off, so it's not a danger to my skin, I feel obliged to point out.)

My headaches are usually triggered by tension and pain in my upper shoulders and neck moving up to my head. This usually happens when I haven't exercised my back/shoulders enough.

Which means my go to head ache remedy is back massage with a trigger ball, massage hook, massage roller, or hand in all my tight places. A bit of yoga usually also helps. Then tylenol and a hot water bottle on my upper back.

A dark room and some gentle classical music, something heavy on the strings and light on the brass and percussion.

What is everyone doing this weekend?

I'll be dealing with my sister's POS ex for various reasons. Hopefully that isn't too painful because I can't stand him. I am also going to start crocheting a ghost door stopper.

I'm really tired right now so I spent longer than I ought to admit pondering how crocheting an intangible door stopper would work. I am intrigued. A ghost door stopper sounds super cute!

My plans are write, write, and write. I've got a deadline coming for a big bang I'm in and hahahahaha I am no where near done.

Nothing much, but I'm okay with that since I'm trying to save money. Gonna do errands with my family, spend some time with my partner if we can make our schedules match and very likely watching tv with friends through discord. Dunno, might look up some intro to watercolors stuff online since I have the tools for it laying around here.

Hopefully the crocheting will help to keep your mind away from the unpleasant interactions!

Well I just finished the anime I was watching which stopped at a very wtf place to stop, so quite possibly I'll be seeking out where I can find scanlations of the manga. :P

There's a Pokemon Go raid day I'd like to take part in somewhere where there are people to raid with, and other than that I have a fic with a deadline that I didn't realize was coming up so fast, so I need to find my focus now that I'm not distracted by easily accessible anime. XD

Tonight, had takeout for dinner and watched some good stuff on TV, tomorrow after I clean the bathroom I'm going to go hang out in this one neighborhood I like, Sunday I'm going to the movies.

So many tws. Including alcoholism, people death, animal death, and maggots

My uncle died earlier this week. He wasn't a blood relative, I maybe met him two or three times. He was a heavy, heavy drinker. In the last year he got run over while drunk, caught covid in (physical, he never stopped drinking) rehab, and his (also an alcoholic girlfriend) died. I never even had a conversation with the guy, but I talk occasionally with his son, and we think of each other as cousins.

I'm close with his sister, my aunt; she and I hang out and go on walks and also vent to each other when petty shit has us down.

But she tends to go quiet when things get genuinely bad, like, sat, when her brother dies.

I just walked 2 miles in the rain to pay $300 to put down a hen who was being eaten by maggots from the inside out. Now I get to go home in the rain and dig a grave in the rain and I'm not even gonna mention this to my aunt or cousin because brothers/dads>chickens.

But I only cried for the chicken. I feel like a bad person but I'm still being drizzled on, carrying a maggot riddled corpse, and have a half mile still to get home.

Disney Released a bunch of trailers today (I guess they had some event?)
