... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and I'll try my best to use an appropriate image choice. Just to clarify - it's my intention to make all the secrets left in this thread, so even if they're not marked claimed, they will be made.

I'll monitor this thread until tomorrow's secret post goes up, so feel free to leave your comments until then!

I want more hysterical men in horror movies. I am sick of the woman in a relationship always being the one who sees the supernatural happenings while the guy is all, "You are just seeing things!"

Good Mythical Morning did an episode where they read sexual fanfic of themselves as a game. One of the authors wasn't happy to have her fic read (at least one author was ecstatic). I find people who get mad about it hilarious. If you write porn about an actual person and post it publicly, that person has the right to do whatever they want with that porn.

Can't put up with this anymore. I don't feel like submitting secrets anymore due to the troll in the comments sections submitting support of ukrainians being genocided, transphobia, racism, etc. I would love moderation to put an end to this, but ultimately I think blame lies on the person who invited this genocide-supporter in the first place.

The Amazon series was my introduction to Wheel of Time, and I'm eagerly looking forward to the next season. I'm a sucker for high fantasy and good costuming, plus the characters were great.

But now I can't decide if I want to read the books to get more context and plot, or ignore the books and headcanon my own details to spite the shitty minority of book-only fans who can't shut up about how terrible the show is.

disney is clearly trying to make lmm their new howard ashman and its not going to work.

i actually think they're similarly talented, but it feels like ashman's songs let pain be painful, and llm's are always smiling through it.

grrm's delusion over his writing speed is delightful to me

every time he makes a post about how some new show isn't going to catch up to him, i feel real joy.

he won't have half of "she-wolves of winterfell" or "village hero" or whatever done before A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is on its 7th season.

Movie: The Joker Folie a Deux

i really hope when people say "it's not going to work" they mean they'll hate it and not that they can't understand how the premise could come together. the movie is called folie a duex, the musical aspects could easily be in their shared head, this isn't even a hard concept to imagine with a little thought. but from the way people talk about it, i can't shake the feeling that it's the concept they don't understand.

I find myself less interested in shipping teenagers and 20-somethings, the older I get.

I assumed it would be the same for writers, but I'm finding it significantly harder to find fic containing older characters. Have older writers just stopped writing, or are they writing about current teenagers?

It's rather depressing, realising that you're starting to get too old for your 20+ year hobby.

i have never shipped two characters i actively dislike before. i've never watched a show where i could care less about theme, character development, plot, or anything of substance beyond the ship.

but lenny/midge got me. they got me. i hope they had a torrid affair before he died and she's bitter because she never found connection like that again

b!s: i'm so glad Amy is over writing female characters who have to keep the baby and is more into how her shitty but charming female characters finally run into the consequences of being shitty.

yeah, yeah, we're all out of love with cop shows

but cold case made me realize that philadelphia is a great setting for a cop show. it's not so major city it feels annoying, and its close to a lot of other major cities that occasionally your cops can travel. it's got its own famous cases you can retroactively solve too!

b!s: people used to say cold case was pretty good as far as copaganda goes, but it's not. it's very patriotic for no reason.

I'm tired of people thinking I hate fanon ship A/B because I ship A in a gay ship.

I actually hate A/B because it was so nice to have a male/female friendship that is strong, close, and long-lasting while explicitly NOT being romantic in canon. I hate that fandom looks at a male character and a female character and feels the need to shove them together romantically, like a man and a woman can't possibly love each other deeply without being IN love with each other. It's bad enough that media does this all the time. Let men and women be BFFs who will do anything for each other but aren't in love!

Honestly, I get annoyed whenever they present her like the next best thing. She's pretty and she can sing, but she isn't quite there yet! They debuted her too early, and I think the awards she's won have been based off of hype. Like her singing isn't impressive. She's improved since her first big public performance, but she's (imo) not on the level yet.

There's so many other artists, and many more who don't have her connections but have TALENT, who should be receiving the hype.

B!S: Lucero's daughter has a far better singing voice, but since she isn't "pretty" in the way Angela is, she gets no recognition (I also don't know if she wants that career, but whatever)

S!B: I don't even listen to her music! I do enjoy her father's music occasionally and her grandmother's movies though.

At this point, I'm 99% sure a fairly popular author I like ships my newest OTP. She occasionally reblogs (non fandom specific, mostly) posts from fanfic authors in the fandom and sometimes even fanart.

...She has an Ao3 account, and I know at least a few of her other fandoms and OTPs. The temptation to try and find her account is only tempered by her wanting to keep her fanfic anonymous. If I figured it out, even if I kept it to myself, I'd feel like a creep.

I really dislike the song "Anything Can Happen" from the Mary Poppins stage musical. Partly because the lyric is "anything can happen if you let it" but the actual message of the song is anything can happen if you make it happen. But mostly because hearing that "anything can happen if you let it" sends my anxiety way up.

I want a sequel to The Sea Beast where intrepid explorers/marine biologists go back to the Dregmoor--not to open trade routes/fight the monsters but to study them. Peacefully. Scientifically. Maybe in a cool steampunk sciencey submarine. (Of course it might go wrong because that's doomed to happen when you approach great wild animals on their territory even with the least aggressive intentions and the best precautions but.)
I just want an adventure movie based on SCIENCE!! learning! the wonders of Nature! plus, cool giant water dragons.
