Mine where the Mary Jane Peanut Butter kisses. But my grandma loved them so it all worked out.

I feel this, but mostly this year. I haven't tried anything new, for the most part, and I also haven't watched new episodes of things I already love. Some rewatching of old favorites and a lot of youtube vid watching. Been a rough year.

i'm weirdly the opposite. i don't give them much thought and don't know why they're so common. are you guys like, going back and referencing it a lot as you read the book? does it really help with the storytelling?

The Benjamin Ashwood series by AC Cobble has such a great description of the geography that the map is superfluous but I still live looking at it. It isn’t the most OMG WOW map ever but part of its strength is that it’s lightly detailed, which makes it so much easier to read on cheap paperback printing.

It helps me immerse in the world. And it tells me the author has actually thought about it and makes it easier for me to buy how this particular world works.

SSSniperwolf is going to get away with that creepy shit.

I don't know what's worse: That she'll only get a slap on the wrist, or that Jacksfilms would have been run off the internet if he got within a hundred feet of SSSniperwolf's home and filmed himself doing it. And if Jack had been deranged enough to invite her to 'come out and talk to him,' he almost certainly would have been accused of trying to assault/or SA her.

I never refer back to them either. Not in fantasy and not in other books they sometimes show up in. If a character says "Whateverplace is five days ride to the east of Someotherplace" I'm good. But I don't read high fantasy very much and I guess it shows.

I hate fresh coconut. But for some reason I'm okay with dried coconut. At least, the kind in certain chocolate bars.

That's how I do fic synopses. But I write very short fic, so writing a long summary just seems silly. Short fic isn't everybody's bag but a few people read my stuff despite my bad summaries.

Both of those ways sound terrible to me. I much prefer a few quick lines similar to every other kind of literary synopsis.

I’ve never heard of these people (although I recognize his face, probably from a video my husband shared with me). But after just watching half of the Legal Eagle video, I don’t like her. And the comments were interesting because they brought up the fact that YouTube has been removing her videos when small creators file a complaint.
