I've only seen Dear Boys (basketball), which I don't think could have been gayer if they had actually made it gay.

The dodge ball episode in Spy x Family was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Yeah, the Nat Lamp movies are like an episode of SNL that has two good skits in the whole 90 minutes. Like, they could have been so much better.

I still laugh at Cousin Eddie and the "that's real tomato ketchup" scene in the first one, but the Christmas one sucks balls and the stupid bonus plot gives me agita.

I would love to see a Christmas movie network that does work as good as fic writers do! Even the "go back to the hometown" cliche fics are lovely compared to this Hallmark shit.

You're right, OP. I haven't watched one since I moved away from my parents and don't intend to ever again. They're terrible unfunny bad skits that go on foreeeeeeeeever.

I also hate them. Mainly because they are supposed to be some sort of aquatic creatures but look like weird Carebear bunny mascots. Their design is just one huge ridiculous miss in my eyes and I also really hate that the playable version is another creepy loli for no particular reason.

I liked Return to Oz tbh, it was creepy. I wouldn't say no to a faithful rendition of the series, but there are other untouched properties that I'd like to see more.

I mean, there was that swimming anime that was also gayer than gay without trying but

Kuroko no Baskue, Daia no Ace, Haiykuu, Eyeshield 21, maybe those are the top leaders in each sport (basketball, baseball, volleyball, American football) but they're leaders followed by anywhere from 2-5 additional series set in each sport. And then there's soccer-football, wrestling (sadly not sumo, I'd kill for a fun sumo manga), kendo, jiujitsu, swimming, diving, track, bicycle sports, and how many other sports that have had manga and/or anime? It's A Lot. I understand OP's point, because treating sports - and board games for that matter - as if they were ridonculous shounen battles is a level of cringe most people aren't prepared for.
