... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and while I'm definitely not the world's greatest expert at secret design, I'll try my best. Please note that secrets with lots of text are sometimes difficult to accommodate and I'll give it a shot but might not be able to make secrets where the text is so lengthy that I can't fit it into the limited space. Also, this is not the appropriate place to hold political debates or arguments about what is and is not fandom - those can go in the General Comments section as their own thread, no need to make it into a secret.

I'll monitor this thread until tomorrow's secret post goes up, so feel free to leave your comments until then!

When I get bored, I trawl through BL/yuri manga... for drawings of cute animals and/or animal companions.

Lots of dogs, lots of cats, a surprising number of birds, rabbits, and squirrels. Still searching for the elusive pet reptile. Not counting stuff like wolves, that's wildlife. It's great when the mangaka gets the animal anatomically and behaviorally correct.

Idk, it's my weird treasure hunt game. I'm pretty sure nobody else is out here skimming pages of hardcore porn and being like "aha, the wonderfully realistic budgie has appeared again!"

I wish more people would be succinct with their secrets. Especially when asking someone else to make them.

I think the Kali/8 episode of Stranger Things was better than most of seasons 3 and 4, and definitely better than anything involving Vecna.

Forget antis or tiktok or whatever. The fandom shift that makes me feel old is people expecting their OTP to be canon and getting angry/quitting the fandom when their ship is sunk.

what was the point of Neil Patrick Harris and Felicia Day singing a song putting down people in long distance relationships? it was mean-spirited and had nothing to do with the movie they were making fun of in that episode anyway. (and I liked the Netflix version of MST other than that sequence.)

Read some Wraeththu and I wouldn’t call it good, however, I would give anything for Wraeththu-inspired aus to become a thing the way ABO has. There are bigenital prettyboys with a caste system and sex magic. Maybe I do not fully understand the appeal of ABO to other people, but I feel like this is much more ripe for fanfic than misinterpreted dog biology.

Frankly I always shipped Zhaan and John in Farscape. I always thought Ben and Virginia had way more chemistry than Ben and Claudia did.

I wish "real" in fiction descriptors didn't mean desaturated colors, swearing, and a fucking shitton of rape. Especially the swearing, especially when it is so poorly written that the swear words draw attention to themselves because of their awkward placement. At least swear properly if you must have all the bloody raping.

I wish Doctor Who had adapted Sky Pirates instead of Human Nature/Family of Blood when it came time to do a NA book on tv. I really wish they'd done Just War or Sanctuary as well, regardless of whichever else they adapted. Maybe next reboot of the show... See if they can finally get it right again.

Deadpool 2 oughta have committed to the gag from the end credits of the previous movie and cast Keira Knightley as Cable, then just have everyone but Wade see "Her" as a big tough guy. Really have leant into the meta.

The best supervillains don't have an angsty origin story, for the best ones evil is just a lifestyle choice they made. I wish modern movies would stop trying to turn the latter into the former. Looking at you in particular, MCU.

Nowadays I feel like "Tool Time" being the name of the show in Home Improvement is a bit on the nose. After all, Tim Allen has lived up/down to that name pretty well.

The more I hear older gamers whine about the "Gen Z humor" in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, the more I hope it attracts lots of fans or wins Game of the Year, bugs and all. (I don't expect this but I can hope, and frankly, it would be hilarious.) The overreaction I have seen to NPC dialogue is so ridiculous that I've already forgiven the couple of lines that I personally cringed at. And these were lines that came from the MC!

I am okay publicly with the idea that you shouldn't need to tag, and I do think it's odd to try and insist published books should have tags, but dear God Deerskin by Robin McKinley f**** me up. I didn't expect him to succeed. I thought she'd get away. It was too much for me. I should have read a review.

I do not understand why so many AO3 users seem to have this bizarre need for Fanfiction.net to fail? They seem to crave it like a hunger. I do not understand it. Surely a plurality of fanfiction fora is a good thing for fandom?

hear me out! if I had a magical ability to contort my spine and shape shift my body, the first thing I would do is make myself taller! and that's why he gives Lucifer such shit for being short, because he's like "you could FIX this for yourself you dolt!"

I don't know I just think Alastor is adorable and would be even cuter if he were smol.

What EBU did with Netherlands was 100% atrocious and Joost deserved absolutely none of it.
But. A part of me was a little glad they got disqualified, because I really hated Europapa and it was kinda nice not having to worry about the possibility of it actually winning.
