Re: Entertainment news (warning for discussion of sexual assault)

Keep in mind the allegations are being largely revealed by Boris Johnson's sister and not a source with ANY ounce of reputation.

Yeah. But what Gaiman's admitted to is already pretty skeevy, i.e. fucking your child's nanny. That would also explain his weird flight from NZ during COVID lockdown where he spent the better part of a year on the Isle of Skye while his wife and child were in NZ.

(Anonymous) 2024-07-04 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
It's a pretty big jump from fucking your child's nanny to sexual assault.

Quit buying into TERFs wanting to fuck up and discredit trans allies. You're going to prove to them that they can do this willy nilly and they'll start accusing EVERYONE they hate of it.

Re: Entertainment news (warning for discussion of sexual assault)

(Anonymous) 2024-07-04 11:28 am (UTC)(link)
I mean thats a pretty big power differential. Fucking your employee is never a good look.

Re: Entertainment news (warning for discussion of sexual assault)

(Anonymous) 2024-07-04 01:00 pm (UTC)(link)
It's still a pretty big leap. Yeah, it's gross, but like... It's a pretty big leap, especially when one of the people accusing him and saying they have deets supports fucking Ghilsaine Maxwell. Forgive me for thinking she has the best interests of anyone at heart here.

NAYRT

(Anonymous) 2024-07-04 09:40 pm (UTC)(link)
It’s actually not a big leap. How much agency did the nanny have against her rich and famous employer who came onto her? General consensus in most western societies (and the legal decision in many) is that she had little to no agency. quid pro quo is assumed and an employer doesn’t have to verbalize a threat against an employee’s job because it’s baked in.

as soon as you started screaming TERF, it nullified anything you had to say afterwards. please grow up.

Yes, but what do TERFs have to do with Gaiman and SA?

Re: Entertainment news (warning for discussion of sexual assault)

(Anonymous) 2024-07-04 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
Nayrt

This. The best case scenario makes him look like a huge sleazeball, and his reaction to the accusations has been pretty weird.

Re: Entertainment news (warning for discussion of sexual assault)

(Anonymous) 2024-07-04 11:32 am (UTC)(link)
As a nanny myself, all I can say is gross.

Re: Entertainment news (warning for discussion of sexual assault)

(Anonymous) 2024-07-04 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
Honestly? I see what you’re saying but I’m not ready to dismiss the accusations based on who reported them. That no one else is reporting
them is concerning but not in the way it is to you. You seem to think that automatically discredits them whereas my concern is that the media isn’t willing to acknowledge the accusations against one of their darlings just yet. I’ll reserve judgement about Gaimen until we know more. I suspect the major media outlets are doing pretty much the same thing hoping they either never have to report or if they do that they’ll have substantial information, not just that accusations were made.

Re: Entertainment news (warning for discussion of sexual assault)

(Anonymous) 2024-07-04 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
No, if only TERFs who want to discredit political enemies are the only ones not reporting it, then it stinks. See: the current Boris Johnstain-on-humanity also attacking David Tennant.

Fuck off, don't listen to TERFs. If it comes from a reputable source, fine, I'll listen. Until then it reeks of attacking trans allies with the barest scraps and you are lapping it up because you don't want to be seen as anti-feminist. They are using this instinct against you.

AYRT

(Anonymous) 2024-07-04 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
I’m lapping it up…by reserving judgment until we know more? Touch grass. You’re the one who has decided if he’s guilty or not. You’re the one who has dismissed accusations because you don’t like who brought them to public light. It doesn’t matter. I agree the motivation is political and it’s shit. But the fact is that the accusations are real. And we have no way to know if they’re baseless or not.

Re: AYRT

(Anonymous) 2024-07-04 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
nayrt but +1. I'm not outright condemning the man. But frankly, even having a sexual relationship with your much younger employee is sketch and I look askance at that. As for the more serious allegations of assault, I'll wait and see but this does not fill me with confidence.

Re: Entertainment news (warning for discussion of sexual assault)

(Anonymous) 2024-07-04 07:10 am (UTC)(link)
You're kinda disgusting. You know full well that if the political views were switched, YOU would be the one lapping this shit up and salivating for the accused to get cancelled no matter if it's true or not. Don't even try to deny it.

Re: Entertainment news (warning for discussion of sexual assault)

(Anonymous) 2024-07-04 07:42 am (UTC)(link)
No. What's disgusting is believing a real pedo supporter that is willing to lie through her teeth and throw women under the bus for political pot shots just because she and her brother don't like trans people. And you're willing to give disgusting subhuman pieces of dogshit like her and her brother the time of day.

Enjoy TERF island. You deserve her and Boris Johnson's everything.

Re: Entertainment news (warning for discussion of sexual assault)

(Anonymous) 2024-07-04 09:22 am (UTC)(link)
You are aware that "subhuman" is pure Nazi terminology, right? Maybe don't use their words if you want to try to look different from them.

Re: Entertainment news (warning for discussion of sexual assault)

(Anonymous) 2024-07-04 10:36 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, TERF Island native. Enjoy your TERFs, I'm sure they'll have mercy on you when they begin rigidly enforcing your beloved gender roles.

Do try and get your keyboard tourettes under control, hun, you're embarassing yourself.

(Anonymous) 2024-07-04 01:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, Ghilsy won't let you suck the baby clits and dicks you want, sorry about that, pedo. Do keep it in your pants, though, would hate for you to hurt children.

(Anonymous) 2024-07-04 01:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Again, you really should take meds for that.

Hun, if all you can think of is someone sucking "baby clits and dicks" there might be a pedo in the room but it sounds more like that's you and not anyone else.

Knock it off. Dehumanizing people is literally how the Holocaust happened.

Don't get mad at others for pointing it out. Get mad at yourself for refusing to be a better person than that.

Keep defending the pedo-defenders, sicko. Love how you'll get mad at people who're against kiddie diddlers, but believe the people supporting pedos like they've got the most delicious ambrosia in the world. You guys are addicted to celeb drama and it shows. Go choke on mud, pedodefender.

Re: Entertainment news (warning for discussion of sexual assault)

(Anonymous) 2024-07-04 04:50 pm (UTC)(link)
You do know that isn’t who went to the police and made the accusations, right? They haven’t fabricated anything they’re reporting, they’re literally just exposing it. That so much about Gaiman and his Abby was in the press at the time and no mention was made about her filing a criminal complaint against him is troubling regardless of who has exposed that. Any idiot can see the exposé is politically motivated. And any idiot except you can also see that two women have accused Gaiman of sexual assault.
