I have MADD (maladaptive daydreaming: traumatic childhood + boredom = weirdo who acts out little scenarios)

I like to act out interviews with my characters when on the toot. Its actually a great way to go over events and world build.

I've never done this in relation to toilet activities, but I definitely do this sometimes with other stuff; imagine my blorbos doing the same activity I'm doing, and derive comfort from it. Especially when I'm anxious or struggling in some way. It's a relatively decent self-comforting technique, IMO.

I don’t do this in the bathroom but I daydream all the time about my faves either joining me in whatever awful task I’m doing or imagine them doing the same thing in their space. Laundry, getting to work, doing dishes, fixing things, that sort of stuff.

There was a distinct age divide on who was into Legolas and who was into Aragorn! I wouldn't say one was more popular than the other, but what you saw depended on which communities you were in.

"No way to ship to ship him eith Aragorn and to make sense." Well, not with that attitude!

I get that this is a secret about how you felt at the time, and nothing I can say will change that, but I'm of the opinion that a determined and skilled writer can make just about anything make sense, and I have a hard time believing that in a fandom as large as LotR there was no one shipping Aragorn with the dad of his canon love interest. There are 40 works on AO3 now tagged with that pairing, the earliest of them from 2002. That's probably not all that’s ever been written on the subject.

When I was a child (around 7-9) I was deeply enchanted by Lord of the Rings, and of course had to see all the movies. Anyway, I was enamored with Gimli. Grew up to be a lesbian, so I don't know what that says about me, but there it is. There's a member of the fellowship for everyone.

I agree! Sometimes people just hate a thing for no good reason (and honestly, "he overshadowed my hero astronaut son" is not a good reason!) and that's how it is!

Ehh. Hating someone for no reason is one thing, but using your massive platform to pursue your vendetta against a person and run a relentless smear champagne against them that twists the facts and often just straight out makes shit up is another thing. Someone who does that doesn't get the benefit of the doubt from me when it comes to their personal character and values.

I have no problem with JJJ being anti Spider-Man, but the actions he takes against Spider-Man are frequently beyond the pale, and to me it seems highly unlikely that someone who takes no pause in abusing his power and his platform in such a way isn't abusing his power/platform in other significant ways as well.

I keep catching episodes of whatever my mother is watching and getting hooked. First it was All Saints. Now it is White Collar. Only watched the first few episodes so far, but it is a lot of fun.
