What are your least favorite chores?

I'm with you, I hate folding laundry too. I also hate snaking the drains - the unholy, sludge-y, putrid, eldritch substance that soap and hair and dirt turns into down there is so revolting to deal with.

I can't really think of chores I hate in general, but I honestly hate the stupid cheap ass material that everything in my apartment seems to be made of, so I have to be super careful in how to clean it. I don't mind cleaning but I hate how every precious little surface needs its own precious little cleaner, and it's own precious little cloth, but not *that* cloth, no no, the better cloth, but not *that* better cloth, the *other* better cloth! And the shitty surface gets scratched anyway because its made of cheap shit to begin with.

Oh, and while I generally don't mind cooking, I wish somebody would cook for me once in a while (I live alone). Planning, shopping, and cooking meals all the time, even in advance can be exhausting and I need a break.

I hate folding laundry so I just don’t LOL Everything is either hung up or things like socks and underwear get put into individual compartments of a drawer organizer. My pyjamas live behind the pillows on my bed because it would be weird and inconvenient to hang them.

Ugh laundry is the worst. The whole process is just a pain, but I think my least favorite part is actually putting it away. So often I fold it and then it sits folded in my laundry basket and I just use that like a dresser.

Sweeping. I can never seem to get every last speck, and it drives me Lady-Macveth levels of insane.

I am so tired of meal planning and cooking. If I won the millions I would immediately hire a chef (and nutritionist probs) to just go and shop/prep/cook all my meals.

Raking and shoveling snow. It's painful, grueling, and annoying when you just finish and now there's more to do behind you. At least things like cooking, dishes, and laundry are near-daily so there's a routine to it. Mulch/debris in the spring, leaves in the fall, and snow all winter contrive to only show up to annoy me.

I hate all chores, but probably my least favorite is document-filing (or otherwise sifting through stuff to put it away). Also, anything that requires me to clean up mold/mildew, which is sadly way more common than I am used to (my house/the weather is DAMP).

Folding laundry became more bearable once I started listening to a podcast I like while doing it. I still hate how long it takes, though, and always leave it to the last minute. *sigh*

What are some horror movies that are not very good but that you still really like?
So bad it's good/liking trashy horror flicks in an ironic/meta way counts as well, I guess, but I'm more interested in the movies that you genuinely enjoy despite being aware they are not great movies.

FYI, the Fifth Circuit court just decided that mail-in ballots that are mailed before election day but not actually received until after are no longer valid (they were previously valid in 18 states).

So just FYI, get your ballots mailed as soon as possible to make sure they are recieved by November 5.

Fridge Ruins My Night, Probably My Day Tomorrow, Scene at 11

So I came home earlier after being gone for 10 hours to a horrible smell in my kitchen. I came in, checked the fridge, and it was busted. The lights were on but it wasn't cold. I got ready for my weekly roleplaying game and sat down for the three hour session.

When we broke later, I got up to go to the restroom and when I walked out of the living room I immediately started coughing and realized then that I had developed a terrible headache. I also smelled the horrible smell much more strongly (it smelled like strong hand sanitizer to me, or something almost sweet but not?). My RP group convinced me to call my dad and he told me that the fridge doesn't have antifreeze in it so what I am smelling is probably Freon? He told me to pack up my cat and go to my parents' house for the night after opening all the windows.

I am sitting in my mom's living room and my head feels somewhat better and I finally stopped coughing but I left my sleep meds at home and I couldn't go back for them (long windy roads with nowhere to turn around, plus my poor cat was screaming her head off because she hasn't left the house since I got her in May). I did remember to get my psych meds for tomorrow and my painkillers and anxiety meds are always in my purse.

I just feel so stupid for basically sitting there and letting myself get poisoned for almost four hours because I didn't notice what was happening and had convinced myself that it was all fine.
