Secrets you don't want to make...

... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and while I'm definitely not the world's greatest expert at secret design, I'll try my best. Please note that long comment secrets can be difficult to make with a good end result. Most of the time, I'll give it a shot but might not be able to make secrets where the text is so lengthy that I can't fit it into the limited space.

I'll monitor this thread until tomorrow's secret post goes up, so feel free to leave your comments until then!

P.S. Please don't worry if you've submitted a secret and it hasn't been posted yet. I usually post these threads before running out of the previous batch of secrets to get a head start on the next batch.

I think George Lucas killed Qui Gon one movie too soon. It would have made Anakin's fall all the more tragic to have kept him around a little longer.

I relate so hard to one of the characters in Skeleton Crew so damn much. Unfortunately, it is Jude Law's character. I too have pushed every damn person who ever cared about me away in case I started caring back or let someone get close enough to hurt me. I should get therapy, but why give someone else the key to hurting me and knowing about my vulnerabilities.

Some people say Threshold is the worst episode of Star Trek Voyager, and I don't know how they can say that when Innocence exists. Maybe they repressed the memory of that episode? Threshold is the worst episode which doesn't punch you in your brain if you try to remember having watched it.

I like this channel, it's actually quite good and serious and informative about recent military conflicts. But I find the video endings absolutely hilarious

I'm sure the creator is not doing this intentionally, and I'm pretty sure the Nebula-thank-you endtag is pre-recorded and tacked on, but the abrupt tone swap makes me lol every time

The BBC's handling of its Hogmanay show this year was a disaster, and it shows why always going for a pre-record over a live broadcast really gives you no back up if things go wrong.

That said, at least the sketch comedy show part of the night was an improvement on Only an Excuse.

I find myself rolling my eyes a lot at American football Instagram. People think they're something special in alleging the Chiefs and the refs are in cahoots. This claim's lack of originality is absolutely pitiful.

Renegade Nell was such a good fun show, but it was weird as hell and I'm not at all shocked it didn't get picked up for a second season. Sad, but not shocked.

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts was the best show, cartoon or otherwise, that I have watched in a long time. 3 perfect seasons with a satisfying ending.

I feel like it is so rare that shows have an actual storyline that follows through each season and wraps up nicely.

Somehow the BBC managed the impossible, they made the most generic and least memorable Doctor the one freaking Black Guy. That takes some sort of talent to make your own attempt at making the character a minority more whitebread than Peter Davison.

I might roll my eyes at the Youtubers I'm watching being sponsored by the usual 15 companies, but I know they have bills to pay etc. BUT where I draw the line are when they start peddling finance apps or apps that supposedly delete your data from the internet (Rocketmoney, Sofi etc).

I'm not someone who follows people who peddle obvious scams or online casinos, so I'm always taken aback when these (to me) reasonable people start talking about apps that need you to put in so many, if not all, of your sensitive (bank) data and give them permission to end (aka alter) contracts for you.

Maybe these apps are safe. Maybe they genuinely think they're good apps. I still think it's irresponsible. At least with the usual sponsors you only lose the money you paid for a possibly crappy product/mobile game.

The Honey scandal will probably not be the first and maybe not the worst one.

I've been disappointed by so many creators I love watching in the recent weeks. Please go back to telling me how much you love Raid Shadow Legends, okay?

tw death and depression

In the last three years I have had my partner, my parents, and my dog all pass away and most of my close friends move away. I am so lonely and depressed I returned to fandom to look for community and an emotional outlet/support, but it's been years that I've been anything more than a casual lurker and I am incredibly lost. I'm not sure if I want to keep pursuing it, or if it's just adding to my feeling lost and alone and I should give it up.

All I want from fandom this year is for there to be something to bring me joy, and not have some pissy little bitch ruin it to make themselves feel superior.

I think the BBC Merlin show was genuinely bad. I'm not someone who needs a show to have a big budget to be enjoyable. I can deal with not all actors being great at their job (do think every regular on Merlin was at least decent). I don't even mind the occasional writing blunder.

I just think this show was... simply bad. And not in an entertaining way.

Soooo many people I know LOVE it. They genuinely regard it as a good show. They write meta that sounds so interesting but doesn't really fit anything I saw on screen (granted, I didn't watch the whole thing, but I did try for a few seasons, in the hope that I'll maybe just GET it at some point)

I don't know how to get over my anxiety with writing and creating. I used to love making stuff (mostly fanart and fic) but I stopped and now I'm just stuck. I sit down to write or draw and have legit dumb panic attacks. It's ridiculous and I hate it.

I'm too old for this shit.

There is no right or wrong way to do comics fandom, that said; if your favorite comics team is Power Pack then you are doing comics fandom...not right.

I think I'm over multiverses and crossovers (yes, even for canons I enjoy). It was fine up until a certain point. We passed it years ago.

Looks like The Simpsons is for real finally getting cancelled, and I'm not even mad. I am a bit sad though. I never thought its ending would make me feel a bit sad about it.

What do I want from a tv show? I want fun, and campyness; I want trash people having adventures every week for a full proper season; I want well meaning idiots blundering through by force of sheer pig headed optimism; I want... hell, just uncancel Legends of Tomorrow. I want that.

It is 2025 Star Wars fandom is still all "What is Darth Maul doing" or asking for stories about him. But, guys, we know what Darth Maul did post TPM. He spent twenty years basically incelling for Obi Wan. Maul, dude, he's just not that into you.

Duff, the celebrity chef/baker from Food Network, is one of the only famous people I believe is actually a good person. My spouse got me a cameo from him when I graduated and he sounded so genuinely happy for me in the video, I still have it saved on my phone.
