Why? I'm a lesbian and I personally don't feel bad. I guess in my case I don't read much (or any) femslash at all because I am just not a fan of romance and I haven't found the right F/F ship that hits my id in ~7 years or so. It is what it is. I guess I prefer female-focused gen over relationships.

I wish a read more femslash that was non-PWP. I read a good amount of femslash PWP, I really only read slash or femslash when it comes to PWPs. But when it comes to plotty stuff, I really mostly read slash, het, or gen.

I'm a straight woman in a relationship with a man and I prefer to read slash and femslash. But generally, the quality of the pairing and their dynamic in canon translating to a story is what I look for and the sexualities of the people don't matter much to me.


(I do have some M/F ships, but it's been a while since one has really appealed to me. Buffy/Spike, I guess.)

Another lesbian here and when I'm not fixated on a specific ship my fic reading is split evenly-ish between f/f and m/m, it's hard to put actual numbers on it because I don't count. But it's not something that really matters at the end of the day. The ships I read fic for are ones I like, I don't force myself to read for any old ship just because it's f/f or m/m because without the baseline attachment I'll get nothing out of it.

You shouldn't. I'm a lesbian and I read various pairings depending what has my attention right now. Sometimes it's F/F (and it is at the moment), sometimes it's not. It doesn't make me any more or less a lesbian or femininst.

Honestly, there aren't many great British actors under 30, either.

Anya Taylor-Joy is the only young actor these days who makes me sit up and take notice.

Meanwhile, roles keep getting specifically written for older actors like Cate Blanchett and Nicole Kidman. And it's great that older women are staying respected and in demand longer! But is it because there's not comparable younger talent?

I'm focusing on women actors here because I feel like male talent has been dried up even longer. I can't name anyone after Ewan MacGregor and Jake Gyllenhaal who have gotten my attention. Maybe Barry Keoghan.

But then it's doesn't really take a Maggie Smith or a Kyle MacLachlan to cast MCU movies, and the newer greats have wisely avoided the cape franchises.
