Black Death and the Industrial Revolution because they both entirely altered the course of Western history.

Ancient Egypt mostly. WW2 somewhat, because I find it interesting but there are also too many parallels to today and it's depressing.

right now I'm super fascinated by unrecorded history - the civilizations that definitely existed even before Sumeria, but because so much of it was likely built with impermanent materials, we have no records besides ethnolinguistic memory. Common myth origins, traceable language forms, and place-names of otherwise unknown kingdoms that later kingdoms heard of. I'm amazed by how far back human history actually goes, while also annoyed that for so long science basically treated anyone that didn't leave stone foundations and some form of writing as primitive cavemen. We probably had cities, kingdoms, languages, art, and culture going back to the end of the last ice age (10k-14k years ago) but will never have evidence because it was made of wood, plant fiber, and animal products that don't last like stone.

I have a actual degree in Heian Japan clothes lol

Anyway, I always sort of hated history at school before I've realised that you can learn about arts, crafts, language AND political shit as a background flavour. And not vice versa. I really do not care about monarchs and wars if it's not helping me right now.

I'm just fed up with life at the moment. There's too much bullshit to deal with and people are pissing me off.

I wish I could just move to a cabin in the woods or something and never have to deal with people again.

Anyway.

I am so tired of people thinking they grew up poor and we are venting about that particular struggle and then they come out with casual mention of their parents paid for their first car and their college and their down-payment for their house and and and. Like bitch, that is not poor. Stop trying to pretend you know the struggles of making it on your own when you had help every single step of your life.

It doesn't come up that often because I don't talk financials with people, but it has come up often enough to annoy me. And if I vent about it, I get accused of gatekeeping poverty. Which is perhaps the stupidest thing I have been accused of, but that's the internet for you.

I paid $70 for a pair of Naturalizers on Amazon (so normal-ish price) and got them in one of those dreaded nondescript "this product has been repackaged blah blah blah" boxes, and of course the sizing is off because of course they were returned for that reason, and I about went apoplectic. Pass me with that 6pm bullshit.

I am so stressed and tired that I taking underground in sunglasses, because it's the closest thing I am getting of being alone to cry. And I don't think that my life is that bad, just my internal resources are extremely weak.

Anyway. I am going to vent about a stupid thing. I fucking hate e-scooters. And they are extremely popular there I live. We have quite wide-spread and popular rent services. City government tries to regulate BUT they absolutely do have fingers in that pie, so scooters are not going away.
My friend regularly bitches about problems with renting or how they are soooo slooowww (boo-hoo, fucker, I am so sad they are getting slowed down /s). I try to ignore it. But I am this close to telling her to shut the fuck up about this, because scooter users deserve all the shit they have got. Yeah, I am probably a bad friend *sighs

A friend created some huge drama about another friend being sick and then ghosted that friend for a week while me and another friend were running around helping the sick friend. And now they popped back up, trying to start up drama again and I'm so annoyed because hun, if you care so much get your ass in gear and actually HELP instead of stressing everyone out.

Someone just screenshotted this insane fragrance review on reddit, and my immediate thought was, "Wait, Tar Season Anon!?"
