Insane fragrance review just reminded me viscerally of Tar Season Anon, thought I'd share.
(Anonymous) 2025-04-25 12:48 am (UTC)(link)Someone just screenshotted this insane fragrance review on reddit, and my immediate thought was, "Wait, Tar Season Anon!?"
Obviously the odds of it actually being them are nil. Also, it's 2025, so this may well be the work of an AI. But the vibes are strong. And who doesn't love an excuse to reminisce about Tar Season Anon?

(Anonymous) 2025-04-25 12:58 am (UTC)(link)I might not have been here for them. I remember soap dish anon, but not tar season.

Then there were a few scattered secrets that seemed to have a similar oddness, though not necessarily actually the same person, like #2 here: https://fandomsecrets.dreamwidth.org/1019467.html?thread=752367179#cmt752367179

(Anonymous) 2025-04-25 02:14 am (UTC)(link)Tar Season Anon truly is my favorite internet cryptid.

(Anonymous) 2025-04-25 02:25 am (UTC)(link)That is weirder than I could have ever imagined. My mind is blown.

I get the tar season anon vibes.
And there’s a whole set of their reviews on the site, all in the same vein…

(Anonymous) 2025-04-25 01:04 am (UTC)(link)*Apparently it only exists in a handful of US states, so for anyone not familiar with it, it's a place that sells tires for cars, and they have a sign that they always change to weird/goofy/sometimes funny comments/sayings/jokes.

(Anonymous) 2025-04-25 02:22 am (UTC)(link)Also, "Field Fires Of My Youth" gives such strong early-2010's-indie-alternative-band's-sophmore-album energy, and I'm lowkey obsessed with the vibe of it?
