... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and while I'm definitely not the world's greatest expert at secret design, I'll try my best. Please note that long comment secrets can be difficult to make with a good end result. Most of the time, I'll give it a shot but might not be able to make secrets where the text is so lengthy that I can't fit it into the limited space.

I'm trying something new with the comment secret thread and extending the deadline to comment until Sunday's post goes up. I'll monitor this thread until then, and hope the extra day will be more helpful for everyone.\

I made up an OC for one of my longer stories (focused on canon characters mostly, but the OC is important for a few plot points). My friend fell in love with OC. I wish I could be as enthusiastic about OC as she is.

She makes a lot of fanart for OC, constantly thinks about OC and wants to talk about them etc. I KNOW I should be nothing other than grateful. But the thing is... OC is by far not one of the most interesting characters I've drawn or written and I felt kind of meh about them from the get-go. It's not for me when people center stories around their fanmade OCs (nothing wrong with it, just not my cup of tea). Point is, I don't even like OC that much and my friend's incredible enthusiasm is kinda pushing me to dislike OC and to dread getting to the part of the story that centers them.

I don't want to tell her, because I know it would hurt her.

Of course I would never show anything other than gratefulness and happiness for the stuff the fandom friend keeps making/writing for me and try to find things to compliment about it. Sometimes I feel like I cannot fake it and try to wait on replying until I am in a better mood.

I dislike a lot of fanarts where the characters are depicted as trans men simply because they often include top surgery scars.
I hate those scars. They are not sexy and I can't stop thinking about all the pain from those types of invasive surgery.
I wish people just drew trans men with pussies and masculine unscarred pecs... PLEASE...

(yep, I know this is insensitive and potentially not inclusive of me. IDC I just want to find my fictional trans men hot, thanks)

I hate that certain trans headcanons have invaded my fandom and are showing up everywhere. I hate reading about trans characters.

(Not that I think they shouldn't be allowed to be written, I just wish they weren't popular in my fandom spaces.)

I actually don't mind the commercials that come along with watching movies on some streaming services - it gives me a break from trying to focus and lets me walk around to exercise out my nervous energy.

I have a hard time suspending my disbelief in explicit m/m anal sex scenes when the bottom doesn't do some deep cleaning first, especually if its not his first rodeo.

I have nothing against trans headcanons/AUs in general.

But I think there'd be a lot less of them if more people were willing to kick loose and admit their kink is boys with pussies and girls with dicks, which doesn't necessarily have anything to do with trans-ness or trans people, especially if all they focus on is those body parts.

Just own your kinks, man.

There's a part of The Great Gatsby I really relate to. The novel describes how Daisy doesn’t really drink or drink heavily/often because she doesn't want to lose control/embarass herself and is too conscious of being perceived by others. That's one of the many reasons I don't really drink.

I'm rewatching Ducktales (2017) and I stand by my dislike of Della from 2018. She's a terrible character and the way she treated Louie in the Last Timephoon is ridiculous. He is the way he is because Donald had to scrimp and save to provide for them while she took an experimental rocket for a JOY RIDE. She's hypocritical at best and ignorant at worst.

Fandom: Skip Beat!

On one hand, I really dislike that Kyoko's mother was redeemed by making her socially awkward and giving her a tragic back story to make her sympathetic after abusing her daughter.

On the other hand, that is one hell of a backstory. Her flat out admitting to Kyoko that she wanted an abortion, just missed the legal window? That went way harder than it needed to and I appreciate that they went there giving what was done to her.

So yeah: I don't like that they gave the mom a tragic backstory, but also that tragic backstory is one of my favourite parts of the manga.

I was unreasonably saddened by the fact that Food Network decided not to do a season of Summer Baking Championship this year. I know it's not serious but man, bummer city.

I like doing playful little rankings and lists based on fandom in my head, and one of mine is comparing how good I'd imagine Disney heroes/male leads would be in bed.

Aladdin and Roger Dearly are at the top, by the way.

Titan from Megamind is a more realistic and terrifying villian than most, if not all, Disney villians, if only because he gave serious SA vibes.

I ADORED the Wrinkle in Time graphic novel adaptation but it bothered me that Calvin's mom was depicted as overweight as part of her being embarassing/low class/not intelligent. Maybe I'm oversensitive to it because as a kid, I was always embarrassed by my overweight, seemingly "classless" and "ignorant" mother.

Amazing that between JK Rowling and Enid Blyton, it is actually the out and proud racist xenophobe from British Empire era who is the more progressive person and not the modern person.

Only one of them tried to normalize chattel slavery as a societal good, just as one example.

The modern era of Star Trek, Star Wars, and Doctor Who are essentially all ending right now. And yet, I don't feel sad about this at all. At least Star Wars was allowed to go out on a high spending Big Bang with Andor and Skeleton crew. The others just limped over the line and collapsed.

People keep talking about a WH40K show, and how it should be on a Space Marine or Inquisitor Gaunt, or even the Eldar. Nobody suggests it should be an Amberley Vail show, and that makes me sad. Amberley is a great character, and deserves her own spotlight. She is such an atypical Inquisitor in personality, but also technically such a typical Inquisitor in actions. The dichotomy is perfect.

I find Goliath/Xanatos to be a much more interesting/tantalizing ship than Goliath/Elizabeth (fandom: Disney's Gargoyles)
