Any one have anything new they like? It can be anything. Movies, shows, books, writers, fandoms, fan works, food, people, work...anything at all.

I tried kimchi multiple times through the years and always found it too much for my tastes.

But I got some from Costco a couple weeks ago and I can't stop eating it! Guess it just took some time for me to get used to the punch of flavor and the texture.

My favorite meal lately has been smoked salmon with rice and kimchi. Sometimes I make some Indomie fried noodles to add to the meal XD
I keep forgetting to grab the seaweed paper.

There is a new taco truck in town and their burritos are fantastic. Got two this week. xD

Also really enjoying some new candy. Especially Reece's Caramel Big Cups and Sour Patch Kids Lemonade.

Also really enjoying playing South of Midnight.

Artificial sweeteners - monkfruit and allulose.

Normally I dislike the flavor of a lot of artificial sweeteners... it's too saccharine, or leaves a weird chemical aftertaste and it's very, very obviously not plain sugar. I cannot abide Diet Coke for this reason.

But recently I tried monkfruit (with erythritol) and allulose and they're not bad. I can still tell it's not sugar, but any weird flavors or aftertaste is far less than other types of artificial sweetener I've tried before. I'll consume it in moderation, of course, but it's been nice finding something that doesn't taste terrible.

I've been getting really into caramel lately! Which is notable, cus food phobias. Still yet to try a Snickers bar though lol

Recently listened to Beethoven's 3rd for the first time, and now I keep playing it on repeat. I never listen to 5 or 9 all the way through obsessively like this. And 3 doesn't have the iconic themes of 5 or 9, but it does such a great job of storytelling. Eeeee.

Hrmm since moving to this area i'm in... I've recently developed a love for Japanese/Hawaiian cuisine.

I also ...well don't mind impossible meat burgers when I can cook them up with all the seasonings and sauces I like plus some good cheese.

related lately while my brother and I have been budgeting hard , I've been making a lot of tuna bowls (think the stuff you put on a tuna sandwich ... without the sandwich) and I realize even as someone who does not eat mayo on a lot of other things.... i have a lot of opinions about the right taste/brand of mayo.

I started watching a show called Great British Menu on TubiTV and it's weirdly addictive. Basically it's professional chefs competing by region and then a final to create and cook a menu for some fancy banquet. A lot of them are Michelin star chefs, so it's interesting to see the thought process that goes on at this level of culinary skill.

I impulse-bought the manga Old Fashioned Cupcake a few years ago. Started reading it, didn’t really vibe with it, put it in my donation pile. I don’t know what happened, but last Sunday I was struck by the overwhelming urge to try it again. Read it all Sunday, watched all the live-action adaptation on Monday, and have now read every English-language fic for it on AO3. I’m OBSESSED! XD

I know the names and scent profiles for so many perfumes.

As for me? I can read and write in Futhark. In english. Which is fun when devs put little easter eggs in viking based stuff, but other than that UTTERLY useless.

I just made a Psych reference with my family and as soon as I said it I knew it was a mistake. And sure enough, none of them got it and thought I was being serious.

Also made a Neverending Story reference the other day and nobody understood it and looked at me with confusion.
