I work in logistics and I'm so tired of my bosses not believing me when I tell them a container has to leave by DATE to get to a customer by DATE. And then when it doesn't arrive on time because they decided to send it later, they complain. I KNOW HOW LONG CONTAINERS TAKE! I'VE BEEN DOING THIS FOR FIVE YEARS!!

Also, this one is a bit whiny. But I can't stand when you are nice to someone on the internet and they are just an asshole back for no reason. If you don't want me to respond, just don't respond back (or post on my thread).

+1

if your pairing or even fandom is nothing but wall to wall toxic ships, it's probably baked into the premise.

A swimming pond. I'd say a house, but I have one, it's just disintegrating and I can't afford repairs, much less to bring it up to code.

I'd say an induction stove, but my house's wiring and circuit breakers are too old and would melt/explode if I plugged one in. I want to get rid of my gas appliances and get solar, but I can't even fix the holes in my roof.

The whole appeal of the "bad boy" is that he's dangerous but gentle to the female protagonist. Most of the time though "bad boys" are just a-holes that are shitheads to everyone around them. Wanting a good boy love interest totally circumvents that so it's a much better bet!

Agreed, she most likely would have become some sort of shill and did the self destruction thing. I hope Harry learns how to escape that fate someday. Sad as hell.

I'm kind of confused. I thought "vanilla" meant not kinky, not non-toxic.

Agreed. Switch 2 is way too expensive, has no games that I want, and then Ninten is just acting up and being dickheads for no real reason. Nuts to that.

Good boys are cuter than bad boys, but unfortunately, I'm a lesbian whose drawn to the mean villainesses. Ah well.

I want to buy my apt bldg and fire the dumb fucks running it and replace them with somebody competent.

It's even better that they're drawing on a concept that was inspired by two trans women.

A castle.

I'm fortunate enough to own a house, but if money was no longer an objection, living in one would be a dream. After providing it with modern amenities, of course.

1. I am pretty sure you are using 'vanilla' wrong. It is generally used for people who don't like kink.

2. I feel you. There was one fandom I was in that I really loved the main pairing but when I went to look for fic it was all 'enemies to lovers' or weird toxic dark fic. It was baffling as it was frustrating.

I don't know that there is like one single dream project I have. Mostly that would be trips?

I mean, if I had all the money and could do what I want, no bills or anything, I'd buy a huge house and turn it into a cat's wonderland.

Sadly, I think you're right. She did a lot of good things, but she was such a vulnerable person and the media weren't ever going to leave her alone. The pressure would make anyone crack, never mind someone who was so unhappy and emotionally fragile.

(Anonymous) 2025-06-15 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
The last part for sure. Most people would become messes under that kind of scrutiny and pressure even if they didn't start out fragile. The ones that don't are the ones that stand out as more resilient than the norm.

A huge estate. I'm talking at least a hundred acres of wooded AND farmland, preferably with a river running through it. Or a lake, maybe. Large, rambling house that's big enough to have company and yet not feel like you're on top of one another, but small enough to be cozy and comfortable. Big vegetable garden and fruit orchards, with several gardeners to do all the work. Cottages tucked here and there for guests who want privacy and quiet.

My neighbor likes to turn on his motorcycle and then just sit there, for thirty minutes, idling in his driveway. At 5:30 in the morning. SOME OF US ARE TRYING TO SLEEP, JUST GET ON YOUR STUPID BIKE AND GTFO.

An old craftsman or a victorian, none of this modern open plan bs. Something with good bones, nothing made in the last 50 years or so, since they cut so many corners on material (my sister had her house built: the vents rattle, it's hard to keep cool, and even though it's huge you can hear every sound from the other end so there's no privacy.) At least two bathrooms, with enough room to put in a bath that will fit an actual adult under the water. With a pantry, a garage, and hopefully a mud room. Maybe a basement.

I'm a recent entry into the Yakuza series. I started with Like a Dragon, worked with my to the newest game in the entry, and now am going back to the start to play the rest (I just wrapped up Yakuza 0.) And yes, a large part of that IS Majima. I just love that horrible man. And yes, I do love him with Kiryu. ;D

As long as they're tagged. The worst is someone who thinks they're writing a loving non-toxic relationship but it's actually toxic AF.

I was gonna say...the last time I heard anything in the news about Prince Harry was "when his grandmother died, he attended the funeral." No reality TV appearances, no cosmetic surgeries, no dangerous stunts, no saying controversial things to the press. He's still in his first marriage, and last I knew they were perfectly happy.

If this guy is attention-seeking, he's shockingly bad at it!
