An awesome character, but that type of guy in real life is beyond annoying. A man-child who needs instructions for basic life things. He and Clair work well together because she's a micro-manager who likes being his mother. But that kind of many would drive me up a wall very, very quickly.

These kinds of comments make me so sad. Being unable to trust something like 45% of the people in the world because of their demographic category, before considering their actions or words or personality. I know it often comes from some personal traumatic experience... it just makes me sad.

Considering the majority of violent crimes committed are from dudes, and statistically ones that know you no less, it's warranted to be cautious of them particularly if you're a woman. Perhaps factor that in before leaving backhanded comments like this towards OP.

If a man was home alone late at night and he hears someone knocking at his door and when he looks through the peephole it's a strange man he doesn't know asking to be let in, my advice to him is DON'T LET THAT GUY IN. The same advice I'd give to a woman, for the same reasons. That's not "messy", it's just common sense. If men are dangerous to other men and also to women, then exercising caution around men you don't know is a smart thing to do.

Being cautious and refusing to trust are two different things. If a man you know is going to act violently towards you, statistically you know it within an hour of meeting him.

Yep. This is why when a woman gets murdered, the investigation begins with her boyfriend/husband, then widens to eliminate (if possible) male friends and relatives before they start looking at strangers.

Not me. I don't put my trust automatically in anyone, male or female. But if I have to take a chance, then statistically as a woman I will go with a woman vs. a man. It's not about being unfair to the poor men, it's just common sense.
