I do not like the voice of Albus Dumbledore in the new full-cast audiobooks of Harry Potter. He sounds like someone who is putting on a voice for a character, which is of course what narrators do, but he doesn't sound natural or real at all. Both of the previous narrators from the earlier versions did better jobs. I can hear the trying and I don't enjoy it.

Travis Kelce is gross. I genuinely hope his relationship with TS is PR, because I hate to think of how badly she will be hurt if it's real. He dates black women exclusively and does a blaccent and everything, until he's ready to settle down, at which point he picks out a blonde blue eyed white woman with a good girl reputation. The black women are good enough to date and have fun with, but when it's time to actually commit to someone and to have children, he has to find himself a white woman. I'm sure he'll cheat on her. Hopefully it's all PR and so it's an open relationship, but either way, he makes me fucking sick. He gives me the worst, biggest, most gross clout chasing vibes.

I met up with a long term fandom friend irl for the first time and now I kind of want to distance myself from them.

They are nothing like they portray themselves online. So much so I'm shocked they even wanted to meet up with me and ruin the lies, but maybe they are just oblivious?

As a Sci-fi fan, i like psychic powers in my sci-fi but only if they're relatively toned
down (eg telepathy/empathy and maybe a bit of mind control) and they are given an explanation (eg cybernetic implants/mutation/genetic engineering/nonhuman ancestry)
I'm actively turned off when the psychic powers are flashy Jean Grey-esque shit

I read Wicked when I was pretty young and immature, and parts of it really messed with me. I loved the Wizard of Oz books when I was really young, so someone who didn't quite realize the content of Wicked gave it to me. It has put me off from ever watching the movies or going to the play, even though I've heard so much about how good it is.

I buy old teen magazines from the 90's on eBay. When I see one with a deceased teen idol on the cover and the price for it is ridiculously high, I refer to the prices as "Bleeding Gums Murphy prices".

Bonus Secret: I have actually bought some of those ridiculously high priced magazines.

I am too old to have gotten into Five Nights at Freddy's, but I actually feel really validated by the idea of animatronics being creepy. I didn't have a problem with them the first few times I encountered them as a child, but one time I went on a school trip to Chuck-E-Cheese and got sat at a table RIGHT BY some of them. And they were so fucking creepy! The way the eyes rolled back and forth, the noises of the machinery working, the robotic movements. I have never had a problem with clowns, but ever since that day, I have been creeped out by animatronics. My friends who were sitting at the same table thought I was bonkers for having a problem, so 8-year-old me feels justified now to know that I'm not the only one!

Everyone else is arguing about ships in the Stranger Things fandom, while I'm so happy that Jamie Campbell Bower is getting so much well-deserved praise for playing Vecna.

He was one of the stand-out things for me in these last two seasons and I'm so happy he's finally getting some recognition for his acting chops.
