Hysterectomy
(Anonymous) 2026-03-12 01:11 am (UTC)(link)I need to have it done but I have a job that includes heavy lifting and is pretty active and I can't really take much time off. Even 2 weeks (the minimum recovery I've seen) is asking a lot. Right now I'm thinking my best bet is to do it when I'm between jobs (I'm ignoring the whole insurance issue rn) but that wouldn't be for possibly 2-3 more years.

Try and negotiate a little longer off, or at the very least, see if you can be in a position to have help and/or do something else with no heavy lifting for at least the two weeks. There's no point in hurting yourself for a stupid job (though I know, we all need our stupid jobs).
Best surgery I ever had, no regrets.
