Because I'm getting tons of PMs and stuff about this: stuff featuring actual porn of lolicon/shota/whatever will be linked, or was supposed to be just linked, just like every other secret featuring explicit porn. But sometimes I make mistakes and a secret gets by that should have been just linked. If a secret is posted that should be linked or warned for, notify me in the name the fandom thread and I'll fix it as soon as I can.
Unfortunately, secrets about lolicon/shota will not be banned because some people think it's wrong or gross or whatever. Some people think fic about rape or gore is wrong or gross or whatever. Some people think slash is wrong or gross or whatever. I'm sure everyone agrees that actual child porn is a bad thing. Lolicon/shota is not actual child porn.
Once again, I'm sorry for letting #127 get past my radar yesterday, and will try not to let it happen again.

Also, call me crazy, but if a newspaper or a real job placed lolicon in public view, I think the reaction would be a 1000x worse than this. This is milder than I expected, truth be told.

Besides if I ran a community and had made this mistake, people would be right to bitch and complain at me. Technophile seems to have recognised this and is taking it quite gracefully, don't you think? However, he didn't quite seem to recognise the legal side of things, and therefore I pointed it out.

(Anonymous) 2009-12-16 06:37 pm (UTC)(link)Here's how it would have happened if I were the one posting the secrets. First, I'd have premade html that I could just drop the secrets into and such. Which would make it even easier to make the mistake, but also easier to make posts. Then I'd just drop links in to fill out the code. After a few, I'd just be rolling merrily along. If I got interrupted... or, heck, just in a groove... it would be very easy by the 27th one to just code it the same as everything else. I have a feeling he was probably interrupted, since he's had secrets like that later on in posts and they've been coded properly.
So really, it's a small mistake. Trust me, your local government is not going to kick down your doors and haul you off to jail because you clicked on a link to a bunch of non-loli pictures and one loli picture on a site that does not exist for the express purpose of various forms of child-centric pornography. And if they do, please tell me where you live so that I never go there, buy things from there, or in any way support their economy ever again.

Now, it isn't illegal in my country yet, but precedent for people being taken to court for it has been set. There is currently some controversy over the new pornography laws which will be coming into effect, because it will cover rape fantasies and adults dressed in high school uniforms. There is a fear it will result in certain harmless materials being banned.
