I know what you mean! It was a loong time since I found a show (besides, comedy) to be invested in, and Torchwood just did that! I love it.

Yes they are sad, dark, heartbreaking, but It's one of the most well made parts of the series and it also, imo, shows Jacks feelings for Ianto, and the other way around. Those final episodes made me feel like it was real, not just Jack and Ianto doing it. I don't know how you'll take it though. There also some REALLY disturbing things in it, but it's still so good. Again, that's my opinion only.

That's how I feel too. It was disturbing and scary but damn, so fucking good. I was more impressed with its darkness than almost any other work I can think of, including the Dark Knight. Just... just... so good!

Some people love it and some people hate it. Some people basically lost their love for the show over it. I wish it had never happened solely because of what it did to the fandom.

I just keep rewatching the first two seasons. Especially the second season. Their moments are often so subtle and fleeting but somehow that's just utterly perfect for them anyway, because that's what their relationship is in the end.

I have to be honest, this remains my big feeling about it (and many other big reveals/twists/general huge events in TW). That and it showed me that for so many of my friends no, continuing to play in fandom wasn't enough.

The show's pretty much been dead to me since the end of Fragments and I'm still having a good time. I don't get why so many of my friends insisted on flouncing out of fandom after it happened.

lol trueXD Doesn't make the love less meaningful, at least not to me. I have no illusions about Ianto being different from anyone else in terms of love, because in real life that's often not how it happens. Doesn't mean you're not in love or don't love the person, just that life must go on, and in Jack's case, forever. /rant

Aww, Jack & Ianto are love. If you're a fanfic reader, I'd reccomend the stories of sam_storyteller. As to Children of Earth, I think you maybe ought to give it a try. Ianto's death isn't anything that can't be fixed by nanogenes after all.

I really wish more of my flist had had the same attitude. Not necessarily so they could write loads of fix-it fics, but so they could keep enjoying fandom at least. So many of them seemed to take it as a personal slight.

I recall someone putting together a video of ten (totally canon) ways to bring Ianto back to life. It was pretty awesome. Personally, I made him evolve into a Timelord (along with random other people in the universe's attempt to right itself), but I just kind of like Timelord!Ianto. :P

If you've already watched the first parts, I say they've already been ruined. All that random "He's not my boyfriend" worries from Ianto were out of nowhere. IDK. The best parts of CoE were the first bits anyway.

I wouldn't watch the last two episodes if I were you. They were the poorer ones of CoE anyway, in my opinion.
