re. FCC restrictions and 'those types' of people - the whole problem is that parts of the US's middle class are very uptight about swearing. As an immigrant, it's something I still fail to understand. Reading this post gave me a little more insight into how social class is wound up in this issue.

Bowser doesn't care about what Peach wants. I don't think he knows how to be nice. Peach doesn't need someone who will be overprotective and obsessive about their relationship. She needs someone who will actually be kind and sensitive around her. Whether or not Mario is an appropriate love interest, and I'm not saying he is, Bowser is certainly a bad match.

And the reason it seems like Peach always asks for his company while Mario never does is because that's how the games get started - Mario gets invited to something Peach is doing, Bowser catches wind of it and starts to raise trouble. Besides, she's a princess, he's a plumber, he probably doesn't invite her to his place because he just lives in a regular old house and he doesn't think she'd be too impressed or have much to do.

LOL, my thoughts exactly. Plus Mario strikes me as kinda humble and shy, not Luigi-shy, but I've seen the way he blushes at getting a kiss from her. He'll brave lava and Goombas and pitfalls to rescue her, but he's too humble to play the Casanova.

this kind of sounds like the same problem I had!

idk if this will work for you, but I just slowly started leaving my Fandom A (like stop commenting on posts/stopped talking about it on my lj) and started being a bit more active in my Fandom B. I wouldn't worry too much about someone finding out. You're human and as a human you have a right to change you're mind and be interested in other things. If someone confronts you about it, just tell them that.
