It can be. But even though I can admit that there are some denominations that actually are hurtful and do seem hate-based, I've yet to see a nonreligious person from here acknowledge that there are some denominations that aren't and that maybe we all shouldn't be painted with the same brush.

For some people it's not based on whether a religion is hateful or not. Some people dislike and disagree with the idea of religion as a whole, and so no matter what religion you follow, they will disagree with it. I mean, I totally accept you have a right to follow whatever religion you want but it doesn't mean I can't think you're wrong.

Anyway, why do you want non-religious people telling you these things? Why do you care what they think?
