19. ♥♥♥♥

21. My friend had that happen to her. I felt really bad for her, but now she looks down on any bisexual boy that prefers guys, and it's really starting to get on my nerves. Actually, she looks down on gay guys in general because of it.

6 - I read epics :/ what fandom?

9 - I LOVE RIDING TOO♥ I do Dressage. Anyways, I know how you feel. It sucks to have nobody to talk to about it. I mostly just go to the stable for that.

10 - lolol those books weren't that good imo, and they were such a quick read that there really is no "easy way out". You can spend two hours watching the movie or two hours reading the first book, haha. And isn't Ms. Coulter's hair supposed to be golden, not black? Anyways, I'm excited about the movies.

21 - sounds like he was a dummy who committed to the wrong person. I think what the fanbrats mean is that they want a bi boyfriend who is faithful and that they can relate to because he's bi. I'm sorry that reminds you of a painful experience, though D:

Video game fandom, mostly, but a little anime / manga, too. It's like fishing, I think. Some are best thrown back.

Sorry, but as soon as I saw your secret, I stopped reading the others. I am in the same boat; I love rping my OCs but finding a rp that they would fit in is so hard. D:

20 here:
It's good to know it's not just me :3
Hopefully an OC RP will pop up and I'll be able to shake of the shyness and join. I want to RP so badly.

3. Me too. =)

10. Don't watch it to see your favourite book animated. Treat it like a completely separate entity. That way you won't be so disappointed if it's a bad adaption--like the movie for what it is, not the similarities between it and the book.

14. I should be watching Heroes shouldn't I. =(

20. There are lots of OC RPs out there--you probably don't find them because you're looking for them in the wrong place. If you're so scared that no one will like you... hey, that's what sockpuppets are for, right? Roleplaying your own characters isn't that much different from a fandom character. This is going to sound profoundly cheesy but... you can do it if you try. x(

27. Word.

29. I think I know who you are. =D If it was you who drew the picture in the secret, damn you draw good. I'm jealous.

(Anonymous) 2007-06-25 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
20 -
I really have no idea where to start looking. I've made enquiries in places, but all the RPs I've found so far are full to bursting (and there's only a few I've found)
Thank you for the support though!

1. Heey there's my secret! I don't even care about having a BNF. I just think other peoples' characters are much more interesting then mine.

14. Well, you picked a winner with that fandom :P

26. You're awesome :)

27. Unrelated to the secret-- but I hate that comic. It's not funny at all.

6. I'd read it!

20. I'll volunteer. :3

21. This is hands down, the most heart-breaking, honest secret I've ever read on here. I don't know how to apologize for it happening or to thank you for sharing it, but, um... sorry and thanks.

#16 - I love that you think the way to become more respected is to treat your friends like that. Oh, way to go. In five years you're going to hate yourself for being such a douche - plus you'll have the added benefit of knowing that you missed out on a lot of great conversations/shared squee-age just because you were too much of a wanker to see that the popularity thing you want so much isn't worth shit.

Thank fuck high school is over. I can't stand this nonsense.

16. Do I know you?

Re: 16

(Anonymous) 2007-06-25 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
Yes.

...re-reading it, though? I didn't really make it clear how little I like those two in the first place. They like me, and they're not bad to kill time with, which is why I feel sort-of bad. And I've always wanted to make a wanky bitch secret like that one. But I never liked these guys. (And? They're no one you know.)

I'm with you there. On all counts.

I read the books only a couple of years after they first came out. And because I was young at that time, it took me a few times to actually get through the first one. First epic story (above 200 pages) that I've read, and I've loved it ever since.

I'm just wondering what took them so long to make this movie. The biggest gripe I have now is that during the entire trailer, not once did you see Pan with Lyra. Where was he, in her shirt? :|

[identity profile] jill-calico.livejournal.com 2007-07-13 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
*a little late on this, I know*

I was looking for Pan too. In fact, I hardly saw ANY daemons except for in a shot with a lot of people. This scares the shit out of me. When I read the first book, I CRIED because I didn't have a Pan of my own. (and I was 20 at the time)

[identity profile] nyaraka.livejournal.com 2007-06-25 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
23, i am entirely the same. ;_;

Barclay!

[identity profile] quasar-dilema.livejournal.com 2007-06-25 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
YAY TREK SECRET! I lovded Barclay!lol...prollu be exactly the same as him if I was on the enterprise!

[identity profile] kokamo.livejournal.com 2007-06-25 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
9. HORSES FTW!! I love horses-- not necessarily riding, but watching them, drawing them, and just overall admiring them and their incredible beauty. :)

[identity profile] sarajayechan.livejournal.com 2007-06-25 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
18. I'm not even that into Bleach or its fandom and reading her stuff annoys the crap out of me. But even worse was seeing how her fanpoodles LEAP to her defense like snarling dogs when someone dares to disagree with her. I HATE people like that.

[identity profile] jencatd.livejournal.com 2007-06-25 11:26 am (UTC)(link)
Fanpoodles is giving me a very funny mental image. XD

And I agree, people who have trained yes-people are annoying no matter where in life they turn up.

God, what is with the over abundance of impossible to read secrets this post?
karel: (karelrutger; er whut)

[personal profile] karel 2007-06-25 05:33 am (UTC)(link)
Okay. On this whole batch: UNREADABLE MUCH? ._.

1. I'd like to become a published novelist and then read fanfic of my own work. That would rock so hard.

4. Han Solo as a girl? Yeah, that could be hot. In fact, I know that would be hot. I am in massive love with this idea.

That's it. Rule 34, it's got to be somewhere.

6. I think I know who you are. ♥ If I'm right... you're not a joke to me.

21. ._. That's so sad. *hugs*

23. OHMYGOD. YES. I don't laugh when people die, but WOLF'S RAIN OH GOD. (but when (spoiler)Cher died, I was really emo over it. And when Toboe died, it nearly killed me.).

26. I always wanted to do that. ;]

28. You and me both. I'd probably live out the rest of my life in there. I'd create holonovels of all of my favorite games and oh man it would rock SO HARD.

6

(Anonymous) 2007-06-25 11:29 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I'd figure you'd be one to guess it, but I sent in that secret before you got deep into my story. ^_^;

1. These days being a "published author" doesn't really look like much fun. However I like writing both fan fic and original stories. My original stories probably won't get published though because frankly I don't want to deal with the b.s. of the publishing world.

2. Maybe the two of you should consider joint counseling to work through the issues. And if she refuses to go, go by yourself so you can talk about how to deal with this.

6. Write what you want, that's what I do. Yes it's nice when you get response but getting a lot of response doesn't necessarily mean that what you wrote is good.

8. There has been much argument as to just exactly what kind of relationship Holmes and Watson had. (by the way your secret was really, really difficult to read)

16. Ah high school. I hated it with a passion and this secret reminds me why.

18. Did she know that you are Japanese? If she did, that would be even funnier. (I mean you have to either laugh at these people or you might end up assaulting them.)

23. I play an online game with a lot of mayhem in it. In this game you can betray from one side to the other. I betrayed to the evil side and was given a series of tasks to prove that I really was going to be loyal. Several of these tasks involved killing people. No problem. The next to the final task was to win over a war dog that had belonged to the enemy. Mission accomplished. Then the last task was to kill the dog. I fell apart. It was just a game but I was actually crying when I killed the dog whose trust I had won.

25. Smut is fine when it's well written. Unfortunately a lot of it isn't. Sorry.

26. Does anyone else find the juxtaposition of secrets 25 and 26 funny?

28. Oh Barclay! I so identified with him. And I grumbled at all those so perfect goody-goody people who thought of him as being a failure. Come on! Who wouldn't have trouble getting to work on time if you had a holodeck where you could create your most desired fantasy?

[identity profile] zoom-gas.livejournal.com 2007-06-25 06:29 am (UTC)(link)
7. hell yeah
14. Me too!
21. I've been there :\ I'm sorry. I know how it feels...but it does get better. I wish the best for you. ♥

[identity profile] repeatvoffender.livejournal.com 2007-06-25 07:10 am (UTC)(link)
The Golden Compass was my favorite book ever.
Trying to find people who read it, understood it, and enjoyed it?

I'd get maybe one of those three. Possibly two, rarely the middle.

I have no interest in seeing a movie for it, but that makes me want to read the book all over again.

[identity profile] golfballs.livejournal.com 2007-06-25 07:11 am (UTC)(link)
3. ILU
7. JOE. ♥ Joe is the best!
11. Ugh, I've been meaning to get into that, actually, because I've been following the other volumes of the (similar) series. Hope you don't mind? XD I'm nice, really!
12. D'aw. ♥
16. ... Wow, yeah; I'm not touching this one. TOO HAPPY AT THE MOMENT.
19. ♥ That's my favorite pairing of the fandom, actually. XD
26. I lol'd. XD
29. LOL'D more because I'm pretty sure I know who this is. ♥ Love you no matter if it is you or isn't, haha.
30. I DO THAT, TOO. And I'm a girl, too, actually. XD GO FIGURE.
