OH GOD NO, NOT ~DEFILING THE STRAIGHT CHARACTERS. Cos straight isn't the default, media isn't homophobic, and sexuality is TOTALLY SET AND FLUID and if you ever end up hooking up with one single person of the opposite sex it means you are STRAIGHT FOREVERS and that will never, ever change, and it is totally impossible to fall for someone of the same sex. Ever.

(Trufax: I am someone who used to only be interested in guys. I am kind of completely in love / wanna spend my whole life / etc. with a girl. DID I TAKE MYSELF OUT OF CHARACTER?! I NEED TO KNOW THIS. OMG. AM I OOC?!)

Also, serious lulz at the idea that anyone only writes m/m or f/f involving characters "shown to be straight" (read: "not explicitly defined within the show/movie/book canon to not be straight because, shockgasp, media in general tends to be really homophobic and straight is the default") because they wanna fap to it. Dude(tte), I don't even write porn. I don't read it. I don't look at it or watch it. I enjoy relationships and dynamics and, yes, romance between characters who are not paired together in the canon! Some of them may even have had canonical romantic interests that imply they are straight/bi/pan/etc.! I really could not give one single fuck.

Well, according to an interview excerpt I saw a while back with one of the writers, which I CANNOT find again, he's not so much (what most people on here mean when they say) asexual as he is so totally focused on his work that he's never bothered to give that kind of thing any thought, except to regard it as an unnecessary complication in life that he doesn't have time for.

Man imo neither of them deserved to win. I like Jim Parsons, but I can't stand sheldon so I don't particularly find him funny.
(If I had to choose I would have given it to Alec Baldwin as Jack Donaghy
or even Johnny Galecki as Leonard Hofstadter but that's my personal taste in humor).

You are more than entitled to dislike Harry. Having depression doesn't mean you have to like him. He can still be unlikeable. I like Harry but there are times I want to tell him off because of the things he says or does. He isn't always the nicest person.

And besides, everyone is entitled to their opinions, I just think it is annoying when said opinions come from a place of ignorance and misunderstanding. When a person sits there and says they hate how he acted in the fifth book because it was annoying, they sound very uncaring and ignorant of the things he was dealing with, which I think would make anyone who has dealt with depression feel a bit like they can't talk to that person.

Ron's fairly unlikeable often times. He's bratty and selfish and judgmental. Harry has similar traits.

I like OotP, but my opinion is not your opinion and does not have to be. Likewise, I like Harry but you do not have to.

Personally? I think K deserves much better. Nico is well-meaning, but... It's like, she's happy and touched that K loves her, but she herself doesn't know if what she's feeling towards K is just gratitude or something else.

I do agree that K never got over her crush on Nico. Everybody has trouble letting go of their first ever crushes. But I also think K loves Xavin more than she loves Nico.

Hm, I often experience that too, but i think in my case it's more that the type of character I identify with isn't generally written as female. So maybe it's not that you identify more with males than females so much as that the character type you identify with best is almost exclusively written as male characters?

It's not that we're balking at the CGI, it's the instinctual reaction that the style of animation just makes everything look OFF because they're trying too hard to make them look realistic. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/UncannyValley

Honestly, I wish they made it look as cartoony as the comics do. Never read them before, but the way they made it to UV-ish makes me afraid that it'll be a flop.

With regards to porn, many would argue it does harm others by messing with your sense of adult sexuality/proper sexual interaction with others.

Plus just look at Jersey Shore every time one of those blockheads has sex there's another cryfest the next morning. Clearly it makes everyone on your block's hangover worse by enducing shrieking sobs of remorse and confusion.
