Neither of those things have their own dna from the host or will grow into a full-fledged person. If you check pro-choice blogs, literature etc you won't see anyone arguing that a fetus isn't a human being in the biological sense. That argument was over and done with in the 1970s.

If you can't accept that abortion ends with the death of a human life, then maybe you need to re-think your position on abortion.

We assume he killed Maverick - he's officially listed as missing...

I had to google the word "misogyny" because I have no clue what that means, and was incredibly surprised by the result. "hatred, dislike, or mistrust of women."

You're saying I hate women because I like a cool, sporty girl better than a 'girly girl' (who also wears a ridiculous-looking hat, imo)? Is that really what you're saying? Because I have to say, that boggles my mind.

There is a generation gap - it's different when you're adult with a job. Anime/manga, especially the ones available outside Japan, is aimed at people who are still in school, so there's no reason not to admit to liking it.

so pro-lifer then

(Anonymous) 2012-01-16 12:57 pm (UTC)(link)
So you are a pro-life anti-choice fundie then. thanks for clearing that one up.

(Anonymous) 2012-01-16 12:59 pm (UTC)(link)
You would say so...but then you would say so whether it is or not because that is your whole argument. Post some evidence or STFU!

(Anonymous) 2012-01-16 12:59 pm (UTC)(link)
that isn't what a trigger is asshole

(Anonymous) 2012-01-16 01:01 pm (UTC)(link)
tv tropes, is that way *points different direction*, the warriors for Gr8 Soshal Justish can wander off to whichever of the cotton wool wrapped conformist paradises they want.

And featuring Eddie Murphy as Mrs Hudson.

the Adler sisters played by Sawn and Marlon Waynes.

Sure it was. It was the Sexy Femme Fatale stereotype (covered in fur).

I know how difficult a decision this can be, but it also sounds like you know you're making the right decision for you. I had two abortions in my twenties, one a second trimester on medical grounds, the other because I was in a really messed up situation life wise & there was no way I wanted to bring a child into the world under those circumstances. Fast forward to me at age 39, and seven years ago my husband and I found out we couldn't have children (fertility issues on both sides, none of which had anything to do with my previous abortions). Even knowing what I know now, if I had a chance to do things over again I still wouldn't change the decisions I made. As difficult as it was I have always felt they were the right decisions, for me, and for my unborn children at the time, and I have never regretted making them. All the best OP, echoing what others have said, you'll be fine. <3

Yes. Cumberbatch looks like a fucking alien.

(Anonymous) 2012-01-16 01:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Stalking is always hilarious. Think of the skunk.

(Anonymous) 2012-01-16 02:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course I know this movie! It's awesome! And I'd like to point out something: she isn't actually that good at singing. She's not having fun because she's got tons of talent; she's having fun because she's there, doing it.

I love this movie because it talks about something few other movies do: how hard it is to be on the edge of doing something really well... and not really know whether you have what it takes to make it there fully. But at least part of the answer is: you don't have to be dazzlingly good at something for it to still be worth doing.

How is liking one thing better than another hypocritical?

[identity profile] x-expat.livejournal.com 2012-01-16 03:20 pm (UTC)(link)
That's the new Lola design? Eww.

(Anonymous) 2012-01-16 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
What does him looking like an alien have to do with his acting abilities?

(Anonymous) 2012-01-16 03:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Didn't she pick Kevin because he really loved her for her, and not "well, we're both fucked so let's be fucked together?" That's how I interpreted that episode, but I haven't rewatched it since it came out. Also, while I see what you and [livejournal.com profile] making_excuses might be saying about messed up vs normal and who to date... I dunno. It really depends. I think Robin and Barney, while cute together, could easily just devolve into feeding into each other and reaffirming negative behaviors.

I also agree with what everyone else is saying about her being unable to have kids. Not only is that how a LOT of people act, whether or not they wanted kids, it could easily just be a way to keep her from changing because of something the network or studio or whatever decided "should" happen.

[identity profile] kanjo-girl.livejournal.com 2012-01-16 03:49 pm (UTC)(link)
There was massive hate for her in Season one and two. I stopped watching after that...for numerous reasons. But the hate for Bonnie seems to be everywhere. And maybe that's because I try finding stuff for Bonnie in general. Even Kat gets flack for BEING Bonnie. It's just stupid. Especially since this TV show has limited minorities, there's hate for her. Just wtf.

AND YOUR ICON. I love them so much.

(Anonymous) 2012-01-16 03:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Dreamwidth is that way *points*

(Anonymous) 2012-01-16 03:55 pm (UTC)(link)
It's such a weird thing though. I really don't know how to feel about this secret because I could easily see it either way. OP probably is trying hard... but maybe OP is also saying stuff that still rubs Friend the wrong way and Friend is just tired of it, you know? A kind of no-win situation. I mean, if I started telling people IRL that I hate sexist slurs and people saying "gay" and "retarded," I'd have no friends. I still hate them. And I'm sure my friends would feel like OP here. Who would be in the wrong? Well, in my opinion, nobody. I'd be standing up for what I believe in, and they would be standing up for their right to say what they want. Both are legitimate.
