Heck, I'm jealous too OP. Sometimes I feel that people in production don't appreciate the fans they keep trying to bring in enough. 'Here, let's throw some slop at them and hope they keep coming in!'

Seriously, if I ever become famous? I have PLANS. For example- those fanfiction writers that are brilliant writers and nail characters? They shall be drafted to write episodes and perhaps get tickets to red-carpet events should my series ever become a movie. Because, come on, who of us wouldn't want stuff like that to happen to us?

(Anonymous) 2012-01-28 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
You won't become famous.

[identity profile] kindlycoyote.livejournal.com 2012-01-28 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Awwww, cute wittle twoll! *pinches cheeks*

Also, 'if'. :D NEVAH SAY NEVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

(Anonymous) 2012-01-28 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
What are you, 16? 17?

[identity profile] kindlycoyote.livejournal.com 2012-01-28 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
lol u wish bra.

*Meanwhile, inside the head of a -insert age- year old*
...Damnit, KC, you KNOW you aren't supposed to poke trolls.

*looks at stick*

B-but... It's SO MUCH FUN.

*pokes troll again*

GOSH DARNIT, I THOUGH I KICKED THIS HABIT BACK WHEN I WAS IN WoW!

Oh, wait, no. I just waited until they were marked for PvP then pwned them like a punk.
...Oh, troll poking, I wish I could quit you. *sniffles*

(Anonymous) 2012-01-28 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Are you mentally retarded? Because you act it. If you think this is a good way of dealing with trolls, I feel bad for you son, because you're just making yourself look stupid.

(Anonymous) 2012-01-28 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
They could just be 14. That last bit sounds exactly like those totally wacky conversations with "muses" that 14 year olds put before their fanfic.

(Anonymous) 2012-01-28 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha I know, right? I'm getting second hand embarrassment. And you know that no matter how much they tell us they're not afraid of looking like a fool, they think they're completely awesome when they do it.

[identity profile] kindlycoyote.livejournal.com 2012-01-28 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
1: You used the word 'retarded'.
2: I don't think it's a good way, I just find it way too fun. IT'S ADDICTING, MAN.
3: I'm not afraid to look stupid. After all, I have Coyote as a avatar! That kind of suggests I am ready and willing to go into fool mode if it pleases me. And oh, it does please me. Bwhahahaha.
4: Eh, you're being too obvious now. Well, you were before, but 'retarded'? Dude, internet no-no. So yeah, this is my last reply to thee. Begone troll! Taketh thy waffles and cookies and go back to thine bridge.

(Anonymous) 2012-01-28 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
DA: 1. They used the word retarded because it was an is apt. It is not in fact an internet no-no, only a certain sector of SJ no-no. The internet at large doesn't give a shit.
2. Addictive.

(Anonymous) 2012-01-28 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh god it's a 14 year old who found a kids' mythology book and now think they are awesome by being totally into it you guys. I am cringing in sympathy. I am so glad the internet did not exist when I was going through that phase.

You sound like the author's note of a badfic.

[identity profile] errantnarwhal.livejournal.com 2012-01-29 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
haha, it does!

[identity profile] kindlycoyote.livejournal.com 2012-01-29 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, that was what I was going for! (What? I like to act like my younger self when poking trolls. Though hey! At least I didn't pull out my fox youkai muse to offer the counterpoints. Ah, youth... She even had the two different color eyes and everything.)

[identity profile] theorygirl.livejournal.com 2012-01-28 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually, you probably wouldn't be legally allowed to read fanfiction, to prevent plagiarism claims. I guess you could have someone you know read the fics and tell you who the good authors are, if you wanted to.

[identity profile] kindlycoyote.livejournal.com 2012-01-28 11:06 pm (UTC)(link)
That's actually my plan. I mean, heck, if I by some miracle and hard work get that famous I plan to have aids. Aids who will lurk around fandom and report to me on the best writers and so on.

But I figure that way, if there is a epic story that wouldn't have occured to me, I can draft the fanfic writer in it so it's a part of canon while respecting the person making the contribution.

But I do wish the laws were different, but I get why the law acts that way. A lot of authors would probably steal and not credit the source or give anything to the person who spent a year on a epic fanfic, which is a screwy thing to do to a fan. :/

(Anonymous) 2012-01-28 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Um, no, it's more likely that a fan will write a story where like there is a cat, and then the author has a book where there is a cat, and the fan will sue because THEY STOLE MY IDEA.

[identity profile] kindlycoyote.livejournal.com 2012-01-28 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Hah, probably is more likely in that way! Kinda like the McDonalds stuff. "I'm suing because COFFEE IS HOT!"

I just am expounding on worse case scenario for the fans. /shrugs

Aides. You're going to have aides.

If you plan to have aids? ...umm...

I think you mean aides.

[identity profile] kindlycoyote.livejournal.com 2012-01-29 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
...Kids, never post when you have a fever. *facepalms self*

First the stupid Adele lyrics mistake, and now this? My type-fu is weak tonight.

(Anonymous) 2012-01-29 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
lmao this

I had to reread those lines like four times before I realized what they were actually talking about

you have no fucking clue, do you?

your kind of ignorance in how publishing works is ASTOUNDING.

[identity profile] kindlycoyote.livejournal.com 2012-01-29 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
*looks at a bunch of rude anons following her around*

Wow, I mean, if you guys were polite and simply pointed out my mistakes, I would be inclined to care. As it stands, I am assuming troll-stalking right because I started ignoring that one thread which I stirred up the first person who trolled me and left me to laugh over things.

If you aren't a troll stalker, sorry! Just know that if you were polite I would have been kind and did the research, as my assumption in this area comes from 'what the hell else would these people have grounds to sue on unless the writer actually stole a idea from them? But if a writer doesn't read any fanfic, then that protects them and they can easily point to saying that it is merely a idea that occurred to them as well, which is most often the case anyway'. But since you weren't polite, I am afraid I must laugh and shake my head and ignore all anon posts for the night as it is too late for me to poke trolls, and it is too tempting to read these things and avoid poking.

So night!

You plan to have aids? @_@

Oh, wait. You mean aides.

An aide (plural: aides) is an assistant or helper.

AIDS is a disease.

(Anonymous) 2012-01-29 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
That sounds fun :D
I bet your series fandom would thrive and adore you for it... and if some of them ever become a problem re: copyright issues... well, let's just say they may get hit by the fandom stick <.< (not always the nicest way, but I think it could keep those people in line)
