Matter of opinion, I suppose. Personally, I find people who run around fandom chanting "nah-nanana-nah, our ship is canon, you can suck it all other ships" annoying beyond the telling of it.

The people that run around saying "nah-nanana-nah, our ship should be canon, you can suck it all other ships" are on the same level.

I regret the day I watched this damn movie and started reading the internet
may 2013: I will either not watch the sequel or I will ban the internet.

anyway it's not just the shippers. Some non shippers and non nu!trek fans (the trek "purists" that say to anyone who likes the reboot "you're not a real fan!" ) are damm condescending too and with every shipper.
