I'm still amazed that Near actually has a real name that a human being would have. Like, "Mail Jeevas" still makes me laugh.

HAHAHA. ASSEMBLE!

Naw, FOP is coming out with a new season from what I've heard. (Though that won't stop the reruns...NOTHING stops reruns. *shiver*)

I don't know about Danny, though. :/

4. I don't care what you ship, but Seto no Hanayome is AWESOME.

I agree, Raito is a million times better than Light.
At least he wasn't named Train... XD

14. I have nothing useful to say about your secret, I just wanted to gush about Hibari! ♥

18. I'm more a fan of animes, due to them being more readily available (fansubs), but I love me some American stuff too. Foster's? Love. Fairly Oddparents? Ecstatic about it. Lion King? ♥ I also pursue my anime fandoms more actively because I can more actively ship in those fandoms.

Hey, I didn't learn about it that late in life!

Oh my god, I love this secret. xD
( I call him Raito, but it doesn't help. :< )

[identity profile] radarsparks.livejournal.com 2007-07-17 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
Don't lie!

[identity profile] faito-oh.livejournal.com 2007-07-17 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
14. Kindly fuck off. ♥ I do it because I feel like it, and I have no obligation to feel guilty because you're offended by it, for whatever reason. ^^

[identity profile] radarsparks.livejournal.com 2007-07-17 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
1. Me too. Doesn't help that most of my friends in rl are away at college(or not even in this country anymore), busy with their married lives, or busy with work. So...having friends to talk to online is much better than awkward, once every few months or even less, meetings with old friends that I really have little in common with anymore.

[identity profile] daphhime.livejournal.com 2007-07-17 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
18. Why oh why is it so hard for people to appreciate BOTH types of animation?! I hate it when people think of me as less of an anime/American animation fan because I like BOTH. One or the other mentalities suck.

[identity profile] exorcism.livejournal.com 2007-07-17 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
That's what I was thinking on 18. I've lost FRIENDS because I've gotten into anime/manga, and they weren't into it.

[identity profile] rabanastre.livejournal.com 2007-07-17 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
1. Yeah, and try to explain to your RL friends about anything in fandom. It doesn't work. DX I missed my friend's birthday party to go to ConnectiCon. lol?

22. Amen!~

Is that because you don't hang out with them as much anymore? I know that it takes two to lose touch, but I'm sure there'd always be something you can find in common if both of you put in the effort. ^_^

(Anonymous) 2007-07-17 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not saying don't talk to your friends online, but it makes me sad when people purposefully skip out on social activity that their friends invited them to participate in. It takes two to lose touch, and I wasn't blaming anyone, but it's good to have a life outside of fandom too.

I love you. Forget the internet, you just fucking won Venus! :D

Ew yeah, that really sucks. =/ I applaud you for your smart decision. ^_^ I have one online friend too who doesn't have RL friends either because she's moved at least once every single year for the last 5 years of her life.

What I was trying to say is that when people do have friends who want to hang out and like go to the movies, and they skip out to read fanfiction, I'm a bit disappointed in them. Inevitably, I think human interaction is important, especially since I've found that people online tend to forget there's someone at the receiving end of their rude comments.

Agreed - all friends are important for different reasons. However, to be fair, in some cases the situation might
be that the person doesn't have true friends IRL. There's a difference between friends who call you because
they don't have a boyfriend at the moment and need something to do, and friends who actually call because they like
you. Some people feel they have more of those online than in real life, even when online friends can be just as fickle.

Sort of. Most of us have moved away by now and I was never very close in the first place with the people that are left. It's awkward.
