I grew up on this show (and a lot of other sci-fi shows airing or in syndication through the 90's), and I always enjoy it when I run into other people who enjoy it. Being the case when I asked someone "what do you want, you moon-faced assassin of joy" and they mused on where they'd heard that before. But it doesn't happen much, I'll admit.

I miss the show too. Got my college suitemates (and still best friends) all hooked on it, though, so at least I have some people to talk to about it. There really aren't any shows as complex on now, are there?

I am currently slowly catching up on this show after I caught some episodes of it on TV (German TV loves older SciFi shows!) and I love it. I am watching a lot of new and old SciFi, but rarely a show interests me that much.

I'm actually about to finish up watching the series for the first time (I was 2 years old when it premiered, so I have an excuse) tonight, I just have the Lost Tales and Sleeping in Light left to go.

Babylon 5 definitely isn't the show for everyone though, the dialog is awkward, the graphics are so dated, and it takes a while to pick up any steam. I'm not saying I haven't really enjoyed it, but it's not really surprising it's not /that/ popular nowdays.

I still think the 2nd, 3rd and 4th seasons of this show are the best sci-fi I've ever seen. I don't care how dated the CGI is. It's a shame that no network would ever commit to a series of this type today.

You're definitely not alone. I met my husband because of this show, and we just finished rewatching all 5 seasons together. Still love it as much as when it first ran.

I was too young to keep up with it when it first aired (7 years old, maybe?), but I rewatched the first season and part of the second, and boy, that show rocked.

There are so many inspiring moments, like the walking like giants part, or the thing with the ants seeing a human and wondering what that was and uh, yeah.

G'Kar is one of my favorite characters of all time and B5 is the best American Sci-Fi show ever made. /truth

Oh god, I miss that show. Well, series 1-4. You can skip most of year 5, except for the critical importance of Sleeping in Light. So awesome.

BABYLON 5!!! Oh, I need to do a serious re-watch of this series. I adore it. It's one of my favourite series EVER. A lot of sci-fi shows are measured against it and found wanting.

I love this show. It's my standard in sci-fi - even above any Star Trek incarnation. The 5th season, I admit, is close to unwatchable but I always return to the other seasons of Babylon 5 when I'm in the mood for high-quality scifi.
