OP here! Addressing you and other people - I probably should have clarified at some point that I'd gone most of my life thinking I'd be a Ravenclaw, so to be sorted into Slytherin was more disappointing than I care to admit for a while.

While I like him, I do think Loki is a massive bag of dicks and has pretty much none of the positive Slytherin qualities (except maybe the badass colour scheme) hence the "there is absolutely nothing okay about that statement".

Hope that clears up a few misinterpretations, I'm not sure why I didn't add it to the original secret. Oops, my bad.

...why would you even need anyone to make you feel better about it? It's just a fictional house that you were sorted into based on a (not very comprehensive) test. It doesn't matter even slightly

I'm happy to have been put in Gryffindor, but I'm not sure if the sorting is rigged or not? I felt like the numbers in each house were too even for it to be down to the questions alone.

...you know, I actually think Loki would be a Slytherin. He kind of embodies the worst traits of that house (or at least the stereotypical "villain" traits: cowardice, selfishness, inflated ego, etc.)

Eh. Slytherin gets a bad rap. It being the "villain house" was the result of overly simplistic writing rather than the traits of ambition and cunning.

But, as others have said, Slytherin doesn't automatically equal evil either, so you don't have to be a mustache twirling villian to get into that house.

I do see him as a Slytherin, but not due to the 'villain' factor. Rather, it's because of the type of villain he is: cunning, willing to throw it on the line for what he really wants, with big goals.

I say this, mind you, not really liking Loki, but I can admit he'd fit in my House. Pottermore Slytherin but Ravenclaw at heart.

I think I get you, OP. Yeah I know he's a supervillain (blahblahblah loathsome) and all that, but Loki is the first Slytherin-y character I actually liked. I liked none of them from Harry Potter.

Loki's a Slytherin? Makes sense to me. Although I pegged him more as the type to be a squib if he was in a Hogwarts AU ;b or just generally an ostracized half-giant like Hagrid shhhh

I actually thought I would get sorted into Gryffindor or Hufflepuff ("my favourite! and they take all the rest. It's the house of non-extreme folk! I'm totally going to be sorted here!"), but then I got Slytherined. It was the prefect's welcome letter that kind of sealed the "this is TOTALLY my house I TOTALLY a Slytherin OMG" bit though.

Trade you? *lol* I thought for SURE I'd be sorted into Slytherin. Everyone I know said I should have gone to Ravenclaw, but I know in the deep and cavernous sub-cockles of my heart I'm Slytherin... but I somehow ended up in Gryffindor. O_o

I always thought I'd be Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff, so it felt weird getting sorted into Slytherin, but the more I thought about it the more it fit, so now I'm pretty okay with it.

It is kind of fun to know you'd share a house with a character you really like (even if they'd be a horrible person if they actually existed).

If nothing else, thinking that we'd be in the same Hogwarts house makes it easier for me to RP as Loki, which is probably more fun than it should be.

Slytherins are awesome, OP (this is from a Ravenclaw identifier who got sorted into Gryffindor, to my shock) but tbh I don't think Loki is one. He's not actually ambitious in that he wants power for its own sake, he wants it because he was deeply hurt and now he's just incredibly bitter and wants to crush everything. And spite is not a trait unique to any house.
