3. I hated Lyra too. Very arrogant. When I read the books I was an incredibly introverted little thing who absolutely loathed this rebellious little girl for never doing as she was told. I thought she got better towards the end of the trilogy though - yay character development!

Off the top of my head, and knowing nothing about the games aside from playing the first couple of hours of the first one and getting monumentally frustrated with the minigame thing, I would say that Kairi gets bashed because she's a female character in a pretty slashy fandom. Girls don't like girls that threaten to make their boys straight.

Oh grow up. Back in the day if I had an lj my anime interests would have consisted of Samurai Pizza Cats, Sailormoon, Dragon Ball Z, Ronin Warriors, and Gundam Wing. Oh and probably Ghost in the Shell and Akira because those were the only anime videos you could find at Blockbuster.

HAHAHA I just had to comment because I saw that and almost offered to send you my copy until I saw the "I have no console" part. I was actually the only one in my group of friends who played ToA and I had my copy circulating around them for awhile (I bought a new one and my girlfriend also bought a copy to send to someone else. The old one finally has a new home though).

Now they talk about it more than me. XD

#5: Elitist crap and "tastes aren't set in stone" replies aside. It IS possible to read/watch any or more of those series and love obscure anime. My flist has several examples, so way to generalize. *raspberry*

And some people read the manga versions which have less fillers.

#10 & 11 right together made me LOL XD And Pierrot is awesome.

#15: The closest thing I've seen is an episode of Samurai Champloo, and it was accidental high. Still amusing, though.
