ext_6137: Yoruichi is really hot :D (Default)

21. My cat's name is Sirius Sasuke Yoruichi (three guesses on color), so I approve :)

13. & 21.

13. Elricest FTW, and man do I hear you. Although I like to RP Ed, so I get the interaction -with- Al, personally.

21. I'd do it!

Bwaha~ I can understand that. Personally, I'm not as brash as Ed, and I have a harder time pulling off his rather... blunt personality. I like Al because he's more subtle. :)

6. Air TV! ♥ Just hearing the beginning notes of Aozora makes me want to cry.

13. Secret is bordering on the Sephiroth-girl obsession, but it's also very pretty.

14. Everytime someone brags about having sex, I automatically assume it's a lie. And LOL at it being better than porn. NO, REALLY?

21. Pics or it didn't happen. >:

(Anonymous) 2007-08-11 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
13. :\ Sephiroth scares me. He has greasy hair, and I'm well aware that Al is fictional and therefore impossible for me to ever "get with."

'Sides, the secret was more of an in-joke with some RP friends. XD

8. FUCKING WORD. Clone troopers were the hottest thing from Attack of the Clones. ;3; Them and Jango Fett. >->

18. Find a friend who's willing to do some one-on-one RP with you? It'll be a nice way to ease your way in and if you make a 'mistake' your friend can help point it out to you so you can get better.

Really, the best way to learn how to RP is to just do it.

Bragging about your sex life on fandom_secret?

What?

Cosplay's about having fun, not worrying about your weight. There's nothing wrong with being a "fat" cosplayer. xP I was one of the people that "complimented" that shop, and it wasn't because "OMGZ SHE IS THIN AND PRIDDY NOW THANK GOD" but as someone that works with photoshop a lot, I appreciate something like that because IMO, they did make the person look "Vogue magazine" pretty.

Check this out. :P

Oh, and 3.

[identity profile] repeatvoffender.livejournal.com 2007-08-11 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't really think I'm fat- but I know what you mean. I love to dress up, Halloween was my favorite holiday as a kid for a reason - but dear god, keep the cameras away.

I don't take pictures of myself, and I try to avoid anyone that wants my picture unless it's someone that I know I'll never see again.

My mother was even confused why I haven't been taking pictures of me in my costume as time progresses and I work on improving it.... because those would be picture of me, and hi- no.

Anyway, do it for the fun. That's what cosplaying is supposed to be about, damn it.

[identity profile] radarsparks.livejournal.com 2007-08-11 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Me too.

4. I finished reading that series(wait, it's finished, right?) when I was in high school, so...haha. It's good, dammit, who cares? 8D

10. Character bashing period is pretty lame. ♥ Orhime ;~;

14. Okay?

16. Heh, I do that too, just in general when listening to music, but for individual characters, too.

[identity profile] radarsparks.livejournal.com 2007-08-11 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, wow. Redundant me is redundant. :(

3, 16

[identity profile] author-by-night.livejournal.com 2007-08-11 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
3. You’re not “too fat” to COSplay. I have no idea why anyone was agreeing that someone would be, because that’s completely ridiculous. Size DOES NOT matter. Even in COSpla

16. I’ve done that too; I hate when people interrupt me while I’m trying! ;)

(Anonymous) 2007-08-11 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
3. I think it was more or less people liking the after because of the dramatic effect and rather good photoshopping that went in to the secret. I personally know how you feel, and understand why you feel like that. ~__~; I don't cosplay because of my insecurities, and commend you for wanting to cosplay for the fun of it - rather than letting people's judgment stop you from it. For every critic there are several other people who like the before. Or something.

[identity profile] saave.livejournal.com 2007-08-11 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
5. I get a 'that is creepy' vibe.

[identity profile] zidane.livejournal.com 2007-08-11 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
What sold me on Orihime was her "Me in the Future" picture, but I really did fall in love with her whole personality. I love that she's weird and spacey--but still gets good grades. I adore her and I was so SO glad that she started spouting off silly nonsense again in last week's chapter. Oh Orihime, I missed you.

*elistist biatch*

Skim the what?! At least check how that book is called before you make your secret. Shhh. It's "The Silmarillion".

So who would pass as a Tolkien expert for you? I know that's not the point of your secret, but still... I'd like to know.

I dunno about the OP, but I've read the Silmarillion, the Hobbit, LOtR (including the appendicies), and to some I've met I'm not nearly elitist enough beacuse I can't speak/understand Elvish or whatever. I think when it comes to Tolkien, the idea of who's an elitist is rather subjective. :\

And the same could probably go for many fandoms...

and 18~

[identity profile] repeatvoffender.livejournal.com 2007-08-11 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
because I haven't commented enough, today.

Don't let that stop you. Even if you post an ad in a RP ad community, or ask a friend politely... Everyone has to start somewhere. And I'm sure they'd love to help you out. I certainly enjoyed training some of my friends in the way of RP.... back when I considered myself skilled at it. Wow, I need practice.

So.... Open up, tell someone? What can it hurt?

3. It's all about having fun, or should be rather. And honestly, I didn't like the after pic eaither. A lot of people have touched on this secret better than I have.

10. I love Orihime too. As someone said it was the "Me in the Future" picture that did it. But you gotta love the leek spin too. :D

Am I the only one that honestly finds this kinda funny? Just because it sorta gives the message of 'ANYBODY THAT CREATES WANK IN FANDOM CLEARLY JUST ISN'T GETTING LAID'. xP

[personal profile] lavaliere 2007-08-11 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I honestly thought it was funny too. Cracked me up, anyway. I mean, there are some of us that are getting laid in real life, but also enjoy fandom. What's so wrong with that?

And the argument that fandom geeks who get laid are either not hot or getting laid by other fandom geeks doesn't work either. >\

You know what though? If they really cared about the fact that it was stuck up, they wouldn't have complimented the photoshop either.

[identity profile] soaker87.livejournal.com 2007-08-11 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
16. I thought I was weird for doing it. I'm surprised how many people have said they do it too.

[identity profile] yummycoffee.livejournal.com 2007-08-11 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
2. Sounds like a masterpiece. I hardly check FST anymore, since there's hardly ever any drama llamas. I'm sad I missed it. :')

3. I don't think being fat has too much to do with it as long as your costume fits you properly and isn't shoddily made. Though there will always be jerks who equate bad cosplay to a fat cosplayer, if you let them run your life, you'll never be able to have the fun you seem to really want. Just go for it!

10. I didn't like Orihime in the beginning because I hate female characters who try and act tough but have nothing to back it up with, when the rest of their male cast have power lvls over 9000 (and subsequently always swoop in to save the day). So it made me very happy when it turned out she was actually important and her power, though not meant for fighting, is something that can help her friends after they inevitably do battle for her. Also, I love the two panels you chose...it really shows how Kubo's style has changed over the years. :D

15. TRUFAX.

21. Dawww. If I had a cat, I'd name it Kisuke. Or maybe Crowley, if it was black...
