The only redeeming feature to that manga that the art was goodnot minami haruka or ayano yamane good, but okay none the less

4. I can agree with you to an extent because I really love Spanish and Latino culture and all that. But the whole "At least I ... have a culture instead of 'appropiating' others" is so snobby sounding. I may be Irish and Korean, but that doesn't mean I shove that into the face of someone who likes Irish or Korean things and act like I'm better than them because "at least I have a culture". =/ FAIL.

And please 2 b remembering you're still reading a Japanese manga, mmkay? A little humility goes a long way.

8/13 day is something fandom made up since Axel is number 8 in the Organization, and Roxas is number 13. Hope that explanation helped! :O

22. Well, yuri is still fairly unpopular compared to yaoi and het. Therefore the fans are so happy there's any yuri-oriented anime/manga at all they're willing to overlook the stereotypes and cliches.

That said, I adore schoolgirls, but I wouldn't complain if a yuri series gave us a new setting. Preferably a wilderness adventure with cute girls in cute hiker clothes. :3

22. I kind of agree but there's good yuri and yaoi as much as bad yaoi and yuri. I still think Kannazuki no Miko was dumb but I watched it anyway because I really adored Chikane/Himeko and other characters. I even attempted to watch Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora just because of their look-a-likes. :(

So like, I don't get it. Is Chad awesome, or just Mexican? because I actually tried to get into Bleach but it was really generic and bored me, but then I saw Chad around and wanted to give it another go.

Is bleach worth watching, just for Chad? because he looks like an amazingly deep and unique (and sexy) character.

Hughes dying in Fullmetal Alchemist is about the closest I can relate to real-life death, having never experienced it myself, and I honestly cannot wrap my head around the fact that he's gone forever and none of the people he loves are ever going to see him again. I just can't. I try and it hurts too much.

So yeah, I can't even imagine how real life would feel or how I'd try to go into denial about it. Sometimes you have to cushion grief so it doesn't overwhelm you, I think, though I don't know the circumstances of your situation or if you knew this person.

Haha, jealous? Akuroku was my OTP for a great deal of last year but it got so boring. I mean, maybe I just don't like things that get too popular, but everything is the same for Axel/Roxas. Every fic is so fluffy and has awful characterizations, especially if it's an AU. If there's angst, which is one of the reasons I liked the pairing...then it's just plain emo instead of proper love/hate. I dunno. I can stand it, still, but just in small doses. My flist today scares me. D:

Also, all the fantards who call it canon--and really mean it--bother me. :|

22. I think people don't criticize yuri as much because it's not as insanely popular. Whenever complain about the reasons they don't like yaoi, my usual reaction is "Uh, het and yuri have those problems too..." but no one cares because those aren't the genres dominating fandom, or something.
