Your logic sucks.

If I see something on my dash that spoils me or (for the sake of argument, as I don't have any triggers) triggers me, I have paid a much greater price than you would have paid to tag that post, and you can bet I'll unfollow you but the damage will still have been done.

Not saying you don't have the right to conduct your blog the way you want. But people here aren't DEMANDING that you are tagging, they are complaining about people who don't tag and guess what, that includes you. We have the right to complain about you. You have the right to be a douche, and we have the right to call a douche a douche.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-06 03:10 pm (UTC)(link)
And because I don't know you, my shit would never show up on your dash. Problem solved. Now please go fuck off.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-06 03:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Your spoiler and trigger sensitivity isn't my fucking problem, bitch. Life doesn't come with trigger pr spoiler tags, either. Manage that shit yourself and shut up.

Was this one a misfire? (honestly curious)

Sadly, you are not the only douche bag on the Internet.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-07 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
Well duh. You're here, aren't you?

Despite your "for the sake of argument", you're basically saying spoilers are some total ultimate personal damage on the same level as a trigger.

Respectfully, I didn't. You are reading into that there.

Then please don't conflate the two in the same sentence, especially seeing that you admit have no actual experience with one.

[personal profile] diet_poison 2012-11-07 12:53 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't conflate them, I just listed them both as examples of bad things that can happen. One is obviously worse than the other - that's just common sense.

You are kind of language policing here.

You mentioned them both as causing damage you couldn't walk away from.

I am. Because words mean things and also lose effect.

*re-reads comment*

Actually, no, I didn't say that. They both do more damage than the trouble of tagging a post. I never did anything to imply that they do the same amount of damage.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-07 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
Calling being spoiled "damage" whiler mentioning triggers and the fact you don't have any = implying spoilers are as bad as triggers. Jesus fucking Christ, are you this fucking stupid all the time or have you been reading too much Homestuck today?

This isn't an argument I feel like having, especially with a condescending asshole. I'm not always up-to-date on the latest PC lingo, so you'll have to forgive me. (Or not.)

I don't agree that I was "conflating" them, mentioning two things at the same time and that they are bad =/= saying they are the same or the same degree of badness, we are not going to agree here so let's quit arguing k?

"If I see something on my dash that spoils me or (for the sake of argument, as I don't have any triggers) triggers me, I have paid a much greater price..."

That's where your wording confuses me since that's exactly what you implied until you clarified for me. However, I still think you're wrong to borrow something you can't relate to for your aversion to spoilers. If it's effort you're going with, don't subscribe to people who never spoiler tag.

[personal profile] diet_poison 2012-11-07 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
I still don't see how that wording implies that I think spoilers = triggers. I think we will have to agree to disagree on this one.

I didn't "borrow" triggers to reinforce a "point" about spoilers. The point is about tags, and I was talking about how in general people on the Internet can be affected by either thing and that's why it's important to use tags.

If it's effort you're going with, don't subscribe to people who never spoiler tag.

I don't, but I don't think there's anything wrong with me complaining about people who don't spoiler tag too because it really is basic courtesy and my whole point is that if I'm spoiled once before I unfollow them, then it is because of their lazy not-tagging. If a person is triggered because they didn't know someone they followed didn't tag for triggers, that is obviously WAY WAY WAY worse. They can then (and I imagine would) unfollow that person, but they can't get back the damage that was done the one time because that person didn't tag. Both are bad. The spoiler thing is relatively minor, but that doesn't mean it isn't a thing.

This whole thing is really convoluted but my original point was: saying "so just unfollow me!!!" isn't a complete argument against "it's rude to not tag" because they will have to be negatively affected by one's lack of tags before the unfollow part happens.

Seriously, "cunt" has gotten old. Pick something else

Nope, I replied to exactly what I meant. You're just too fucking retarded to look up what you posted a few hours ago.

Ah, I see. I hadn't gotten the email for this comment yet so I assumed it was a misfire...
