10. How does seeing your first anime on Adult Swim/Toonami/YTV/some other mainstream channel somehow make you a less worthy fan? You're not an idiot 'cause you saw it on TV first instead of going out of your way to buy or rent the series. I hate this mindset. Elitist much?

I'm such a noob I didn't know ATLA = Avatar until I read another comment. Anyway, don't be afraid of changing your opinion... I did the same thing. I let dumb fans get to me before I even saw it, but after I saw it I liked it. Mind, I've only watched two episodes, and haven't watched it in like two weeks, but... 8D It was fun? Lol

Honestly, when my friends sat me down and had me watch it, I pulled the whole "wtf is this?" routine, but it's become one of my favorites ever. I think most animes could learn a great deal from A:tla, since it kicks their asses in almost all aspects. (This coming from a huge anime fan.)

10. Sailor Moons and DBZ pulled me into anime, just like almost every other anime fan I've EVER spoken to. I bet a lot of these elitest people who are bitching and moaning about Toonami and [as] got pulled in the same way, too.

2. I watched a handful of Avatar episodes before and liked them, but the season 3 trailer was what really got me interested in becoming a fan. Now I'm watching the whole thing through and I love it so much. Don't be afraid to say you changed your mind! People do it all the time! :D

16. What I meant is they ship canon het just because it's canon, and no other real reason. They think that the slash and minor het I ship (because I feel that it has chemistry and plausibility) is stupid simply because it isn't canon. I don't think canon het is stupid; I just have yet to run into a canon het pairing that I think has genuine chemistry in the same way my preferred, non-canon pairings do. I am perfectly okay with their ships, and power to them for sailing them. But I don't ship those pairings because I just don't like them as much, and I'm tired of them making fun of me for it.

10. While Toonami didn't really open up the flood gates for me (that'd be Pokemon, thank you very much), I owe the fact that adult swim decided to air Lupin III's 2nd TV series to me becoming such a rabid fan of the entire franchise.

It isn't how you get into what you enjoy, it's how much enjoyment you get out of it. Anyone who says otherwise is just looking for some way to boost their own ego.

11. I was just thinking today about how much I love this show. It really is an incredibly fulfilling series on so many levels. The next season can't possibly come soon enough! D:

And I think ATLA sucks, but I also would gladly admit it if I started liking it, and I'd gladly tell anyone who dared throwing every bad thing I've said about it to my face to fuck off.
