So sad and so shallow.

its not like I don't love the new person I am with.. but all this did spawn from a physical cosplay attraction.

PS: so anonymous... so alone

12 and 33. IMO it really isn't the character type as such, the innocence or the 'goodness'--Orihime or Bertie Wooster or Tamaki are all innocent characters in their own ways but they're also all memorable characters, human, well-developed characters. (Though some people still hate Orihime and Tamaki too, I guess. :() But the thing is, you really believe in their essential goodness and their innocence for reasons other than 'this person is this sort of plot device and therefore will never do anything other than ___' because if helpless maidens were no longer helpless and could save themselves from ravening tentacle monsters then that would put Buck Rogers out of a job. . .

The only thing I could really say bad about Sam would have to do with the hilariously bad dialogue they gave her in the pilot movie thing from SG-1. . .and that *was* hilarious, so there are no hard feelings. ^^

24. PORNSTACHE

28. Ah, that movie was good! I wish it had a fandom too--I'm sorry it died out on you.

I know how you feel. Either, I'm so open about whatever- posting it here is pointless... Or I don't want to post it here because, um... My friends read this crap. And they'll -know- it was me.

Also, more people should have a thing for collar bones~ <3. *cough*

#31:YES. Simon Templar is amaaaaaaaazing. It's just flat-out sad that there is not a decent fanbase for those books :(

*koffkoff* also, [livejournal.com profile] saint_fans. We're kind of tiny and we're not super active but we loves us some Simon Templar *koff*

03) THIS SECRET WINS. Especially because Satoshi was effing hot in the eighth movie in the hero garb. I totally still have a crush over Takeshi and wonder if he'd be head over heels over me if I were in the Pokeverse. He was my first anime crush. There is no shame in Pokemon crushes! XD
05) Never played the game myself but watched my sis play Twin Snakes, but holy crap Otacon has fans? Fangirls? She and her boyfriend are such Otacon haters and think I am too, but dag. Not the case. And asdfjl; you had to pick a pic of him looking all hot pushing up his glasses. Those poses slay me every time. *swoons*
09) Tatsuki's hot for a girl. I approve of this character association. *thumbs up*
15) Oh geez, I'm so like that too, except I'm too shy to even interact with them in the OOC thread, and I've been around since December. Irrational shyness FTL?
21) I could see that happening somehow, and I don't know why either.
27) Oh man, I loved them back in the day. I was such a Howie fangirl. Then I grew up from being a ickle tweenie and boy bands went out of style. And then they put out their comeback album, but now I'm a college girl too ashamed to revisit her BsB love. X.x;;

12. Though I don't have strong opinions on Nia specifically (she's pretty to look at, that's all I really see in her) IAWTS
16. I AGREE WITH THIS EVEN MORE. I am so sick of it in AMVs, too.
32. Junpei love ♥♥♥

[identity profile] hako-neko.livejournal.com 2007-09-10 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
33. IAWTC. Everyone's overreacting about her "replacing" Weir. I like Weir, but we're getting to see a new age of Atlantis and the oppourtunity to view what the military plans for it. I hope Weir comes back eventually, but I find this turn in the show exciting... just as long as Dr. Lee doesn't go. XD;

[identity profile] maypirate.livejournal.com 2007-09-10 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
16. ME TOO! ME TOO! ME TOO!

I really...yeah. After an episode or two at one time, I got really annoyed. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

[identity profile] who-said-bitta.livejournal.com 2007-09-10 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
LOL, IAWTS~

although I'm not familiar with anyone on youR "like" list except Xigbar and I only recognized Kenpachi because he reminds me of Xigbar, sooooo... xD
(actually, lies, now that I look at it more closely I do recognize all those characters, but w/e. xD)

But anyway YESSSSSSSS TO XIGBAR LUV. <3

[identity profile] yui-hime.livejournal.com 2007-09-10 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
7) YUM YUM YUM. After a while, I just kinda got tired of scrawny bishounen types, and now I get turned on mostly by men who actually look like men.

23) Inbreeding those things would be fun if I weren't playing by challenges that mandate breeding w/Townies and NPCs only.

(Yes I'm five pages in but I have to comment!!)

Aww don't be shy. I love them too... and so not afraid to show it. Nick and Brian were my first (and still my top) OTP

[identity profile] mint-eclair.livejournal.com 2007-09-10 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
3. I don't so much crush on him as it is fangirl, but I definately agree. Internet-wise I'm pretty open about ASH <3 but offline, my lips are sealed. x:

12. I'm opening myself for idiot wankery, but I actually quite agree with this. I've always had a thing against the KIND, HAPPY, HELPLESS, and MASTER COOK (latter not applying too much to Nia) because I like to see girls who can do things, girls who aren't the dream housewives-to-be, girls who aren't just simple feminine and motherly girls. I like explosive personalities, independence, and snark. I don't know what to feel when I see tons of shy girls who want to learn how to cook well for the guy she likes.

What can I say, they're just a pet peeve for me. I got sick of them over time... Maybe it's because in the environment I'm in, I rarely see such people and can't see them as anything but flat. Honestly though, I think I have more of a problem with how the writer uses such characters than the character themself.

Because there are some characters that develop and escape the archtype. Like Orihime, Hinata, etc etc etc. Can't say too much on Nia, I'm partial to her. I love it when they become a bit more human (lack of a better term) and become, not the perfect housewife, but a good-natured individual. However, if they stick with it forever and ever and ever, never going outside of that spectrum and is still being/aiming for Yamato Nadeshiko (or however it was spelled), I'll get outright annoyed, especially when 99.9% of the time they end up with the guy/GET CAPTURED LIKE OMG. I even think I act this way towards them because they seem like some holy embodiment of what a girl should be like in order to get a guy; AND THAT SUCKS BECAUSE I'M NOT TOO INTO FEMALE EMPOWERMENT

tl;dr version: I agree with this secret, especially if they stay in that archtype FOREVER.

33. There are times when it works. There are times when it doesn't.

Why do I feel like giving up on the GL fandom lol.

[identity profile] yummycoffee.livejournal.com 2007-09-10 10:30 am (UTC)(link)
re 3: Yeah, the character type is boring if they don't grow out of it as the series goes on. Cause honestly, you cannot live in the world and stay that naive and innocent. It's just not possible. That's why I find Yoko a much more interesting character, even with her gratuitous jiggling bikini boobies and hotpants.

I saw this and I nearly cried.
I love him so much man.. thank you for making this.
Hahah I remember when I was younger my brother used to play MGS and I'd just watch him onscreen and I could barely handle it. I'd dream of such a character too often for my own good.

32. Junpei! ♥ ♥ I love him so and yet... There are time where I want to bash his face in too. ;o;

I love the DCAU comics! They are fantastic. All the fun and excitement and characters without the thirty years of backstory required. You aren't alone in liking them at all! Not every comic you read has to be super dramatic or ACTION HERO EXTREME or make you feel depressed once you're done with it.

The people making fun of you are unbelievably lame. Comics are comics and are there to be enjoyed. Just tell them to get over their selves and stop being elitist assholes just because you like reading something fun.
