32. Junpei~! I'm not even halfway done Persona 3, but he's real awesome in my books. He's a funny character, but there's depth to his personality and it doesn't feel like he's just there for comedy relief.

5, 17. Whoa! Two MGS secrets in one post! Too bad I've only played the first one, but they're both pretty awesome %D

32

[identity profile] lurking.livejournal.com 2007-09-10 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
I know! At first when I saw the clips with him in it I figured he was just going to be comic relief, but he's just so much more. Just seeing him develop through the game was so awesome.

15. What's the big deal about Oshima High? I've been hearing a lot about it. =/

[identity profile] bloodnblack.livejournal.com 2007-09-09 10:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Not to be a narcissist or anything, but

:D ♥

Basically, Oshima (Naruto RP) mixes AU setting (which is pretty common in RPGs) with crack pairings (also common) and cannon things, such as the ANBU, the Akatsuki, and so forth. Characters are also very well and uniquely played over there, and some characters posses more cannon qualities than others, which, if anything, makes it more interesting. Drama is very well enacted as well, and pairings are usually incredibly well developed, not just "BeCaUsE UcHiHaCesT iS mY OH-TEE-PEEE!!!!!1!!!111"

Basically? It's incredibly well done serious!crack.

On the bright side:
A) We didn't get to know them well before the died.
B) They have a chance of their spirits being channeled.

Really, most of the time I feel worse for the murderers, or at least the ones of cases 2-2 and 2-3. :(

7) Wait, wait, wait, what? I think we need to recheck the dictionary for the definition of wil·low·y
–adjective
1. pliant; lithe.
2. (of a person) tall, slender, and moving gracefully.
3. abounding with willows.

"Tall, slender . . . " Not short, well-fed, and with six-pack abs (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v105/anil_galia/notwillowy.png). Does someone need to rewatch the very first episode again?

27. You're not alone. X3

Haha, I like your description of Ed. Especially considering he doesn't cover any of those traits....

but I seriously think the secret maker was attempting a rather valid point, with... rather inappropriate/inaccurate wording. Maybe?

i.e. 'Fuck the pretty boys, who cares?'

Don't know the character, but I dislike that archetype as well. I've learned to tolerate it, but still fail to find it interesting.

7. Link's only willowy in fanfiction.

As much as this secret irritates me because I have a personal... issue with my large dislike of Pyramid Head. And Scar aside, I have to argue with your 'like' list. Even though I'm not too familiar with some of it. But seriously... Scar deserves more love.

On the generic, 'give me this type of character over this type' argument .... Link is the only character on your dislikes that I adore, so- yes. The rest... ugh.

This is probably the most round about random pointless agreement you will ever see.

16

[identity profile] kalorii.livejournal.com 2007-09-09 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope, you're not the only one. I'll never get why anyone goes "omfg yay 8D" at that damn show.

Re: 16

2. Awww... That made me sad.

3. I had a crush on Ash AND Gary when I was eight. The Ash one is gone, but Gary? Will never stop being my favorite adorable little jerk.

5. Haha! Awesome. He's so cute~

7. Haven't we had this secret before? If not, then there's been a million just like it. Yes, some people have different tastes. Every fangirl isn't the same. WE GET IT.

9. No comment on the turning you on part, but I like that idea of her. Too many people are trying to use this is an OMG SHE MUST'VE BEEN JUST LIKE SAKURA thing. Wtf? Since when has Sakura been tomboyish?

16. First off, the anime sucks. It's dull, repetitive, slow, relies too much on absurd humor, and drags out jokes beyond the point of funny. I couldn't sit through it. The manga, on the other hand, is pure adorable genius. Try that if you ever feel like getting into it again!

20. While it would've been cool to have liked the bands I like sooner, what REALLY matters is listening to them now. 'Cause really, who knows? What if by some freak occurance you ended up NEVER listening to them? What matters is having them, not how long you have or when you did. (But god, I sure do see where you're coming from with this.)

24. I never get the concept of hiding a ship.

26. I don't see why! I'm horribly loud about all my opinions, and while I DO submit a rare secret here and there, I can't imagine not telling the world about half the sort of things people submit. I mean, H ave been the secretive type before, too, but I'm really a lot happier this way. When you don't have secrets, you don't feel like anything's weighing you down. Talking too much Being open ftw!

12+33 hateship OTP? I agree with 33 though, despite not knowing who this character is. Fandom sexism is uncool.

Re: 24

(Anonymous) 2007-09-09 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't get me wrong, I'm not really hiding it. It's just, the only people I know who are fellow fans of this series are my parents and my grandmother -- I've never run into someone online who likes it. And I usually don't act all shippy around my relatives, if you know what I mean. So whenever I watch it I end up having to tell myself that it's just a really strage friendship they have; that I'm reading too much into. Purely as an attempt to not act like the shippy fangirl I really am.

I hope that makes sense... I guess I worded that secret totally wrong :\

14. A courtroom game about parking violations and domestic disputes just wouldn't be as fun. Thats why.

21. Okay someone please tell me what a Medea is.

[identity profile] antler-action.livejournal.com 2007-09-09 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
21. Okay someone please tell me what a Medea is.
Long story short, her husband married another woman, which upset her, so she sent the new wife a wedding dress that either poisoned her or caught fire when she put it on. Then, (from the kids in the picture, I'm guessing this is the relevant part) she killed the two young sons she had had with her husband. That was a fairly popular way of getting back at your husband if you happened to be a wife in Greek mythology.

[identity profile] antler-action.livejournal.com 2007-09-09 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
22. Yes! I like the animated series so much more than the stuff that's going on now. I think it manages that balancing act of letting you know that bad things can happen to the characters without beating you over the head with graphic violence and Issues. People who think it's inferior because of the style don't know what they're missing.

23. I have no opinion on incestuous Sims, but I think I downloaded that hairstyle for my game too.

Holy goodness and binary, YES.
The only problem with falling in love with Hal is that all the women in his life either screw him up or die, thus screwing him up. And the only problem with falling in love with Ocelot is... well, I would say "that he's a crazy backstabbing triple-crossing bastard", but that's kinda what makes him so sexy. >:
