I love the ship and want it to become canon. I hate the fandom for it. A lot.

I want Hook to be redeemed since the show is all about redemption and he has proved that he can love deeply.

I think there are worse pairings in this fandom. And characters who are more evil than Hook.

I like him, I love the way he flirts with everyone. Tbh I don't care if he ends up with Emma but I do want a happy end for him.

I don't really ship anything on the show. I just go with what the canon is cuz I'm not that invested in it. But I guess you could say I ship it in an antagonistic, 'you're annoying as fuck but I'll shag you cuz you're pretty' kind of way. No romance though.

Hook is the worst and I find him really creepy and gross in all his interactions. He has no interest in respected Emma in any way and the thought of them getting together on the show without him essentially changing his entire personality makes me ill.

You've got company. I find it weird when people go "oh you're just upset because you ship Emma with someone else," because no, I don't. I don't ship Emma with anyone. I thought she and Graham were cute, but he's dead and I don't think he was her true love or anything. I think Neal/Emma is going to provide lots of grist for the drama mill that is OUAT, and I don't ship Emma with Regina because I don't ship hate ships as a rule, and I can only see them possibly hate-fucking, quite aside from what it'd do to their already mutant soap opera family tree.

I don't ship Emma with Hook because I hate Killian Jones, who will instantly be ten times more interesting if he turns out to be a grown Pan, whether Peter or possibly Rufio. He's a massive douchebag who I only ship with Milah, because at least for her he tried to be self-sacrificing and it was the only truly selfless thing he's done so far on the show.

Colin is a very handsome man and a pretty convincing actor, because I buy that the character he plays is a sociopath. But I can appreciate the pretty and the acting skills without wanting one of my favorite characters on the show to bone him. I honestly don't think Killian would be very interested in sex at this point anyway, because he's only living for revenge at this point. If he did sleep with someone, it'd only be scratching an itch before getting back to the only fucking he cares about: fucking Rumpelstiltskin over.

I loved their dynamic when they were both running around the Enchanted Forest, climbing beanstalks and flirting, but they'v barely interacted since then.

I'm with you, OP.

Mostly because I hate Hook with a blinding, burning passion. I hate him, I hate his character, I hate how he verbally sexually assaults any woman he finds attractive and none of them mind because "LOL he's so hot," I hate how he and Rumpel treated Mila like some freaking prize to be won or taken, and I hate how they both play the victim in the situation when Mila was the real victim (and I didn't like her much, either!), and I hate how people in fandom just look at Hook's face and all they can talk about is how pretty he is and completely disregard that he's a complete and utter asshole.

And I hate how he's representative of so many real life people.

I am satisfied that so far, the show has not rewarded him for his behavior, but I'm still scared that it will eventually.

Hook didn't treat Milah like a prize. Sure, he was a dick to Rumple in a 'she wants me and not you' way, but he genuinely loved her and she loved him. Milah even said she fell in love with Hook when she first met him in the tavern and left with him willingly, only pretending to be kidnapped so she could have an excuse to leave Rumple and Baelfire. She took her own happiness into her hands when she left with Hook. She was only a victim insofar as Rumple murdered her.

You are so not alone. I would be pissed if this became canon. I have some faith that it won't, though...every time Hook tries to move in with his innuendo, it looks like it may not be taken seriously by the other characters in the show. Though that may just be the fact that I roll my eyes every time he tries to be "sexy."

I like this show (for whatever reason), but I don't get involved with the fandom because of things like this. The people in it just pick the weirdest characters to fangasm over sometimes.

I hate Hook. He's so awful. I've got a friend who ships them and I just kind of smile and nod when she talks about it. He's such a creep. I can't see them becoming canon. I honestly don't think they have any real interest in each other.

I don't get basically ALL of the ships in that fandom, really. I mean, Emma seems to be the fandom bicycle and the various shippers fight with each other so viciously, and she's...fairly boring to me? IDK. I just don't get the fandom period. But I do enjoy looking at Colin O'Donoghue, so...

I think they're hot together. I enjoy reading A) Hatesex fic and B) AUs in which he isn't a jackass. (Sadly, well-written examples of either are hard to come by.)

BUT: I never want them to happen on the show. Redeeming Hook to the point where they could be a healthy couple would require so much backpedaling it would make the sympathy-for-Regina campaign look reasonable. I think I'm safe in assuring you it's unlikely they'd ever bother.

Ugh, Hook. Why do my fandoms always seem to adore the most skin-crawlingly creepy douchebags?

I certainly hope they don't become canon either, at least not without one extensive redemption arc for Hook. As it is now it'd just make me sick. I don't think the writers would go there but then again I've been utterly narratively betrayed by the things I love before and the writing is starting to really suck for me lately and the Captain Swan shippers are really loud and almost kind of convincing. Almost.
