01. I'm starting to feel the same way. Except I've spent a lot more than that, and I'm still buying them (even though I promised myself I'd stop, or at least cut back on the amount I buy). I've never ever had a problem like this before; my parents know me as the daughter who's always saved up her money and never indulged herself. I wish I had someone to ask advice from, but it's not exactly something I want to admit -- shit, as it is, I even feel all nervous and ashamed just posting this comment!

1. I've spent close to that on my YYH doujinshi and I don't regret it for a moment. In fact, I'm buying more this week.

I'm sure it's not something everyone regrets, but in my case I never even look at them. They're just in a stack in one of my drawers back home. I could have used that money on things that would have been of more importance in my life, or more fun. That's why I've regretted it to this day. It was a waste of money in my case. I can't even read Japanese!

It is really addicting! That's what drives me crazy about it, along with the fact that I don't even look at that anymore. I had some doujinshi that had some nice art in it, too (mainly the Gundam Wing ones I own). It just sickens me that I've spent anywhere up to $25 for one of those things and I'll never look at it again.

Definitely was a lesson well learned. I try my best to not buy everything I like now and the fact that I need to start paying my own tuition and housing soon is really driving that one home. The shounen-ai isn't too bad but when it starts to get too sexual I back off. Not my cup of tea.

8. It IS nerdy, but I do it, too. XD; I like BEING in those conversations, because I'm so socially awkward in real life, its nice to be able to discuss fandom SOMEWHERE. XD

That's the way I feel, too. I'm always excited when an anime I love gets licensed. I never really care for the dubs too much, but I like having the ability to buy the series without worrying about bootlegging. And I like when they get big fandoms, too, because fans are easy to ignore and I like buying merchandise. XD

You know, I still think they only shot him, gave him a new identity, and aged him so they could kill him without people screaming they killed one of the most adorable characters in the DCU. I barely recognized the Bart Allen who died. I have no interest in having him back. Give me Impulse/Young Justice era Bart or nothing at all.

1 - I used to be the same way with Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. :(
...okay, so how many points of AUTOMATIC FAIL did I just rack up there? XD;;

12 - The yaoi shippers are the worst of the bunch. Some of the Org.XIII stuff they come up with, I honestly wonder WTF they were smoking.

19 - Even if the dub is terrible, your point about the subs is exactly right. And at least it's easier to find and buy dubs than bootlegged subs (especially if you missed torrents of subbed episodes).

20 - If you really love them, you should tell them. Maybe word it a little nicer, but if you can help them improve their writing, isn't that a good thing?

25 - I've seen weirder... and hey, at least it has some supporty-moments.
...even if one of them is stuck inside a suit of armor.
