10. Man, that brings back memories! I used to love those little hair clip critters. There should be a revival ^_^

18. D= There's a Naono Bohra that I haven't read yet?! Crap! *runs off to find it*

27. More than feeling bad, I begin to question their taste in things. I've had people suggest The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya to me cause they thought it was soooooo awesome! I hated it. I watched Lucky Star and loathed it. She latched onto it. I don't feel sorry for not liking the same things, I just feel put off that our tastes clash like that.

29. Yep. I made the "mistake" of talking about it and how I think Haruhi is a big old Mary Sue and I got dogpiled by angry anonymice defending their precious obsession. Deal with it chilluns. You're liking it does not making super awesome. My not liking it does not insult your beliefs that it is awesome in any way. I just don't like it. Just like I don't like pork or bananas. It's nothing personal. It's life.

Yeah it's new. It is called The Loquacious Finger // Jouzetsu na Yubi, scanlated by Aarinfantasy. :)

19. Not a fan of this show but, generally speaking, I don't get all the dub hate. Sure, some dubs are piss poor. I've also had certain series where I thought the dub was superior to the original.

Yeah, I said it.

I guess it's just one more excuse for people to act like elitist asshats. As if liking a sub over a dub (or vice versa) makes you "special."

22. Hehe~~ I just started playing the .hack//G.U. games so I got a good chuckle out of this. :)

29. Yeah, I noticed the same thing when secrets for this anime started popping up. I've never seen it myself but... I also have no desire to see it either. XD I'm too busy being obsessed with Higurashi, .hack, and Persona.

Although, I must say, the insane defenders of this show also greatly reduce my desire to watch it. I'm not in the mood to deal with that type of insanity.

[identity profile] dorknessrising.livejournal.com 2007-09-12 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
Unless you like anime that are deliberately confusing as hell and whose main character is a self-absorbed Mary Sue who gets away with whatever she wants because she literally is God, I don't recommend it.

SHIT I AGREE WITH YOU

[identity profile] lunarkitten.livejournal.com 2007-09-12 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
OMGGGGG, Lady Lovelylocks! I loved that show so much! I wish it was on DVD. :(

[identity profile] fairady.livejournal.com 2007-09-12 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
16- It took me a while to warm up to Kid Flash, and I did end up liking him. But I still missed Impulse terribly! And then- man, I had to stop reading the comics for a while. I just knew that I'd start bawling like a baby if I didn't.

I wonder if this is who I think it is :o

Quite probably not.

1. Sell them. I'm sure you own a lot of rare expensive doujins that other fans are willing to shell out tons of cash for.

7. That's awesome!

8. Adorable! Awww

16. I was so mad when they killed him! Mostly because it was so obvious that DC was planning to do it all along. Screw you! Though at least they can't screw him up anymore. ><

Though I think he might come back in LoSH (who else is in the Lightening Rod?!) so he might be de-aged for that. I'm fine with him coming back as Kid Flash too. I hated the costume but I did like Bart's character growth.

16

[identity profile] gaisce.livejournal.com 2007-09-12 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
Word, so much word on this.

I want him safe in the happy world with Jenni, Kon and the non-soulless Cassie or not at all.

[identity profile] eibii.livejournal.com 2007-09-12 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
8. Another resounding 'awwwww' here! I just wish I was a little better at sticking around the folks I meet without getting all shy.

14. Eeeeh, I always feel a little nervous popping up on this sort of subject in general. Maybe your stuff might end up setting an example of awesome for others to follow? I don't really know how you'd feel on that spin, but when I'm wandering around a lackluster crop of fan offerings, and I find at least one shiny thing, I'm heartened to try and do better.

... boy howdy I hope that wasn't just the biggest insult ever or something. Um. FWIW.

26.

[identity profile] felica-psikozo.livejournal.com 2007-09-12 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
TOTAL AGREEMENT. I've drawn slash of them and hid it in my desk so no one knows.

Re: 26.

[identity profile] anna-chronism.livejournal.com 2007-09-12 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Why have you hidden it? You must put it on the internets for all to see!

Do it. Doooo iiiiit.

8. I love when that happens, so I suppose if you're a nerd so am I? ♥

19. FUNIMATION NEEDS TO HURRY UP AND ANNOUNCE SOMETHING. Augh. I cannot wait. This will be either epic or terrible, but either way, hurryyyyy~

(Anonymous) 2007-09-12 09:52 am (UTC)(link)
11. Hi Keysha-chan. At least I'm 99.9% sure that it's her.

Funny really, I would usually find that kind of attitude downright irritating, except seeing her fans I'm kinda sympathetic. Not the kind of shit I'd put up with even if I'm paid for it.

Damn you, I just submitted a secret like that!

It sure sometimes feels that way, doesn't it.

[identity profile] author-by-night.livejournal.com 2007-09-12 11:58 am (UTC)(link)
2. Do you make the players feel as though they can tell you when/if your characters are OOC and upstage the plot? Sometimes that's a factor, you know.

9. I'm not sure I think this is serious, and if it's a joke, amusing, but if you honestly mean it... I'd seriously consider counseling, yeah. Because as wonderful as some of her characters were, they were not real. It seems to me as though the books brought to surface something else that's not at all related, and that's what is upsetting you so much.

[identity profile] kasumi-blue.livejournal.com 2007-09-12 12:56 pm (UTC)(link)
1. I don't even try to quantify how much I've spent on doujin over the years. The thought wouldn't help my guilt.

Heh, I can understand regretting if you didn't end up learning Japanese ^^;; I have to say, though, that even after taking Japanese, doujin are frustrating as heck because there's no furigana. Manga for kids (i.e. most shounen and shoujo manga) is way better for that sort of use :p

As everyone's already said, though, selling them on ebay could be pretty profitable. I've done that with some of my books (well, not ebay, on LJ) and have made a decent amount. I guess the only downside is that selling on ebay is sort of a pain. Still, if you want your money back, it's worth a try.

24. ARGH, I CAN'T FIND EPS OF LUCKY STAR STREAMED ANYWHERE. I'M STILL ON EP 20 >____< That ep sounds so good T___T I'm sad the anime's almost over.

[identity profile] tepes.livejournal.com 2007-09-12 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Try crunchyroll.com. That's where I get all my eps!

3.) I wish he had been a girl. We've only had one female villian in an FF and she was.... eh.

TIME KOMPRESSION!11!!!!1!!

[identity profile] ecchipiro.livejournal.com 2007-09-12 02:53 pm (UTC)(link)
#1 Hm, erhhh sell 'em again? Maybe you make even more money that way than you spent on them. *lol*

29

[identity profile] metaraymek.livejournal.com 2007-09-12 03:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't like it either. You're not alone.

[identity profile] enjolras.livejournal.com 2007-09-12 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
2. You are officially awesome. *thumbs up*

9. D: I'm so sorry it's come to that...

17. I SLEEP WITH A SESSHOUMARU PLUSHIE. Not ashamed. LOL, he sits next to Inuyasha and Ichigo. 8D

19. I am too!!! I can't wait to hear the dub! I feel like the only person in the world who gets excited for dubs, lol. It's nice to hear it in one's own language.

29. But.... that's still your opinion! Some people may think it IS the best thing since sliced bread. Personally, I don't think any anime is that good. XD But yah, I still like Haruhi. :3

10!!!

[identity profile] robotalarm.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
LOVE. SO MUCH LOVE. For the show AND the pairing!

17, I quit not too long after it blew up Stateside and the fandom went all incredibly retarded. But I still have my tiny Miroku keychain somewhere that I refuse to throw away. :x
