But in all honesty, I often don't complain when someone's OOC just because they are afraid the other person will either explode and start some drama shitstorm, or kill themselves. (I'm always afraid I'll make someone kill themself if I call them on their characterization ;_; )

1. I only bought TsengxRufus books and stayed relatively faithful to So-Bathu-Rankogai and Sumomo. I actually managed to snag most of mine really cheaply. I later wondered why I had them. Sure the art was pretty, but I couldn't read them and I was already religiously drawing TsengxRufus myself so why bother. I ended up selling my collection for a considerable amount of money. If you regret spending so much, sell them. I did and I don't regret it.

After selling them all off I still kept Erosion just for petty bragging rights since you cannot find that doujinshi anywhere these days. The lovely shahnichan now owns it since I couldn't bear to let it go to some annoying fangirl. XD

19. I agree wholeheartedly! Funimation has done some very respectable dubs in recent years, and so I'm holding out hope that they'll handle Ouran the same way they handled Fruits Basket. And if not...there's always the subs. Either way, we can enjoy it ^^

8. That happened to me last night, and it really made my entire day. It was so great to find someone with whom to flail over fandoms I don't even get to talk about most of the time (plus I got the soundtrack to Little Busters! out of it, but that was only a side benefit). So no, it doesn't make you a nerd. At least, not in a bad way.

20. Oh man, I know the feeling. Once, in my senior year of high school, a friend of mine (also 18, so old enough to know better, you'd think) asked me to "beta" her original novel for her. This was a sort of pet project she'd been working on for two or three years. And it was horrible. It was a lame, derivative vampire novel with a main character who was very, very clearly an idealized version of the friend in question. She tended to use the same adjectives over and over, and was allergic to the word "said", so much that she ended up with things like "'Good morning,' Character X sneezed," which made no sense at all. I couldn't bring myself to tell her it was actually good, but I couldn't tell her how awful it was either. In the end, I picked a few things to talk with her about (like the adjectives and the "said" issue, and also the fact that however good a pianist you are, there is no way that you can play well enough to make three-year-olds sit still and listen, as her character did) and decided to let the rest go. It's a really sucky position to be in.
