example? the two shows off the top of my head I can think of (Castle and Bones) the man wasn't all persistent and nagging for those first few seasons or anything outside of mild flirting (which the woman did too)... the relationships just progressed later on. If there IS a show where the man nags and nags for several seasons and she finally caves that's one thing, but like i said... example? because i'm curious and can't think of any i've seen

Same; I mean, The X-Files, sort of, but their relationship progressed sloooowwwly and Mulder wasn't persistently nagging Scully for them to get together.

But yeah, Castle in particular I'm familiar with, and while there was flirting and teasing, it progressed pretty genuinely I thought, and it wasn't Castle just nagging at Beckett for them to get together.

In the first season of How I Met Your Mother, Ted persistently tries to get Robin to date him and she eventually falls in love with him and agrees...but the whole point of their relationship is that they were totally wrong for each other and the reasons Robin gave at first for why they wouldn't work out were totally true and weren't going to magically disappear just because they loved each other. And then they broke up amicably at the end of season 2 and it was always portrayed as the right thing to do.

I can't think of any other examples of men persistently nagging, and definitely not from the beginning or for several seasons. Oh wait, maybe Futurama? Does that count?

except Robin is immediately attracted to and interested in Ted. she even pursues him back a little and hates that SHE has to back off too when he says he can't handle the relationship she wants. she's very clearly interested and when he moves on with Victoria she's the one that tries to make it work with him. now his continued weird obsession with Robin AFTER their break-up is a bit weird... from just a writing standpoint, at least. we know within the first episode that they won't end up together, yet they keep bringing it up? after they break up they should have just left it at that, it got so annoying.

Futurama i'm more forgiving of because its continuity is a bit fluid - his nagging seems like more of a running gag than actual character development on anyone's part.

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Leela and Fry from Futurama. Leela was pretty against dating Fry for most of the earlier seasons (although that Titanic episode says differently) however she caved in later on, seemingly because Fry was so whiny? I haven't watched much of the later seasons when they finally get together.

She came to terms with her feelings for Fry twice, IIRC, once in the finale after the ordeal with the holophoner concert, though that was kind of ignored when the show came back. And then it happened again when she was separated from Fry for a long time with the Feminista environmental radicals.

Neither was as a direct result of Fry's needling, though. If anything, it was more in spite of his needling than because of it. And from the very beginning, it was implied she liked Fry but kept getting fed up at the fact that he was incredibly stupid. However, the show didn't have much continuity, so it was more of a running gag than a continuous arc. Like, stuff would happen that would be gone in the next episode.

Also there was the time that they went to an alternate universe where she did agree to go on a date with him and they were happily married

True - though I like that the point of this season is Juliet getting sick of Shawn's immaturity/lies. Hopefully Shawn will grow up some in the next six episodes.

The only thing that comes to mind for me is Chase and Cameron on House. Granted, it's been a long time since I saw those episodes so I can't remember how it was resolved (well, they were married, so they obviously got together eventually, but I can't remember how it was handled) but he specifically told her that he was going to keep asking her out until she finally gave in.

But a little after, they got divorced.
