I do that too, and it never occurred to me that it might be weird. Different seasons and weather influence my mood and my emotions, so it makes sense to me that I'd want to listen to different music at different times of the year.

Last season of Dexter premiering in June. The previous season was a bit lackluster, so I'm hoping that they'll bring things to an end somewhat better.

Actually, if you learn English in school in Europe, they will make a point of teaching you posh BBC English, not American English. At least they did when I was in high school. They most certainly would have done at the time that TNG was made...so yeah, that's basically how a Frenchman would get an English accent (if he was a good student).

I'll agree with this, anyway. Tag all the background stuff, don't claim anything's canon when it isn't, and we'll all be good.

Though ... it's one thing I do prefer about the LJ/DW header system compared to the AO3 tagging system: you can specifically label pairings as 'background' in a header, while you don't seem to be able to in pairings tags on AO3. I agree with what some other people have said, it's also annoying to search for a pairing, click on stories, and find out that your pairing is only a background thing that's barely mentioned.

Surprising pairings out of nowhere are annoying. Searchable pairings that turn out to be only background are also annoying. I'd tend to err on the side of tagging things, but it does mean a lot of disappointment for people searching for some pairs.

A lot of the hate seems to be based on the delusion this show is somehow keeping a totally serious reboot of teen titans from airing or that other "better shows were cancelled to make way for this one. Neither of which is true as it's mostly an issue of the dreaded syndication mark that gets so many western animation shows cancelled. With multiple American channels trying to fill 18-24 hours in a day with different cartoons providers tend to heavily favor as many different shows as they can rather than a smaller number of long running shows. Fans tend to misdirect their anger in these cases as they believe that it is a case of a network favoring the new over the old and believing that the new show tested better in "focus groups".

A western cartoon that makes it more that 3 seasons is unfortunately very rare, and since cartoon writers never really plan out story arcs with a concrete end in mind, it often leaves older fans put out as so many series end without a satisfactory conclusion.

On-topic: The new show is decent, but it's definitely going for something different compared to the old show and the tone seems to be trying to set itself apart while still trying to cash in on the nostalgia of the old show, which makes me question exactly who they wanted the target audience of this thing to be.

In Rallalon's fics, the Doctor's penis has a velvety underside, it "flutters", and he has no testicles.

In BlueDawn's fic, his penis "flares" and ripples. I don't quite remember anything else about it, though.

Ditto Supernatural. Nobody cares about my OTP, and the show and the recent wank are really putting me off. But I try to keep up, for my friends' sakes. tbh I'm just looking for time to get back in the Phineas and Ferb fandom. It's a good fandom.

I'm actually a big fan of horror, and can put up with quite a lot, but there's something about Ito and Lapham's work that is really off-putting. Like, "there's something wrong with him and he needs to be institutionalized to protect others" off-putting. Crossed was disturbing when Garth Ennis came up with it; David Lapham's take was unhinged even by the standards Ennis had set. Reading the 'Psychopath' miniseries was an endurance test that I really regret.

Most horror doesn't even phase me anymore. All that's left is the really screwed up shit, and that's just not as enjoyable.
