F!S Anon Meme (the ??th)

Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with recaptchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

That's about it, though!

(Today's post is below.)

BBC Sherlock fans..

I understand that some of you are fans of the Hannibal as well, but it's pathetic how you keep trying to make that cross-over happen. Hannibal would put with Sherlock for about 5 seconds, if that. And many of us who are mainly Hannibal fans are sick of you lot already. Be a little self-aware, please.

Uhhh. Couldn't you make the case that Sherlock would sniff Hannibal out in 5 seconds? He isn't exactly subtle.

Sherlock might. But then Hannibal would sniff him out and eat him.

MTE. Sherlock is rudeness personified. If Hannibal was present for that remark he made about Donovan there would be cervelle de veau served with tongue on his table.

Given how much I loathe Moffat's "Sherlock" this would actually make BBC!Sherlock ten thousand times better, Y/Y?

I would enjoy that episode!

I find Sherlock a bit eyeroll-worthy and stilted as a character. The show's universe revolves around him and he is right in 99% of cases and everyone else is ~so~ below him only because that's the picture Moffat wants to paint. I find it hardly natural and I don't think it's something that would actually work in cross-overs with the shows where the characters are well-developed and human. Only in the minds of Moffat's unquestioning fans.

Besides, I'm not a huge follower of Superwholock, but I think I've seen enough of it on my dash to say that the people who are into it want the main characters of the shows to work together or be BFFs, not antagonists. I saw a gifset just now where John asks Sherlock about the head in the fridge and Sherlock answers that it is a gift from Hannibal. which implies both knowledge on Sherlock's part and some sort of friendship. And I'm sorry, but no, Hannibal wouldn't be Sherlock's friend or even casual acquittance. The very idea is idiotic.

The thing is, it's not even about the characters or context or plausibility. It's about the HOTT SMEXY POSSIBILITIES as written by fans who are--let's face it--often total dipshits.

Maybe it's because I never saw Hannibal as that interesting or even that smart, but I'd bank on Sherlock to win in a Sherlock vs Hannibal situation. Any Sherlock, mind, not just the BBC one.

I get not seeing Hannibal as that smart, he has his less-than-smart moments and he can be really obvious at times but I'm curious about your reasons for watching the show if you don't find him interesting on some level.

About your statement: I think Sherlock Hound would have a good chance against Hannibal in the show's universe, lol.

I mostly watch Hannibal because of the squick factor. I haven't been truly affected by any sort of horror movie for a few years now, but cannibalism always sort of gets me. It fills the void.

(Also, I do like the acting, and the sort-of mysteries in each episode. I watch medical/police procedural shows a lot too, and this is a better show overall.)

Fair enough :)
