I'm sorry, but the Batman movie is as bad as everyone says it is. It's not even funny bad. It's bad bad. I don't like Clockwork Orange because I'm not 17, but putting that goddamn shithouse Batman Forever movie above Fight Club is a crime.

The hell is Fantastic Mr. Fox mixed with those other movies? That shit got nominated for an Oscar.

The rest are pretty much crap, tho. It doesn't mean people are not allowed to enjoy them, but there's a difference between quality and enjoyability.

The Fantastic Mr. Fox is generally well received, though...? I mean, it's Wes Anderson and it got an Oscar nod. Definitely not in the same category at all.

Also, no shame if you like those movies, because everyone's tastes are different and I certainly like movies that are considered bad. But thinking people are trying too hard for being critical? Yeah no. It's definitely possible to think something's objectively bad but still like it. That's part of why people like watching bad movies.

I mostly agree but take exception with Fight Club. It was a well done psychological thriller that attracted a huge audience and revived the genre for mainstream audiences for a while. That's quite the accomplishment.

I strongly agree about "The Lost World" getting more flak than it deserves. Obviously it's nowhere near as good as "Jurassic Park", but it's still a decent movie. Not fabulous, not dreadful, decent. And I do enjoy re-watching it when it comes on tv every once in awhile.

I don't have the energy for a debate. Just to voice my objection to you. Dishonor on your cow, OP. Dishonor forever. That fucking Batman movie is a disaster, and not even an entertaining one.

Also, 10.000 BC was the most offensive piece of shit ever filmed about supposedly prehistoric times. I hated it before I studied Anthropology, but after a couple of semestres the very mention of it would make me groan.

Also N°2: Fight Club is one of the best adaptations from a book to a movie I've seen, barring the ending, and the meta on it made it awesome. Screw you.

Lost World is not bad, though there ar e plenty of movies in my DVD collection I'll watch before it, but usually it's Mum who's watching it when she's on a JP binge.

Mario Brothers is so damn underrated, I love it, I want a copy of it.

Batman Forever... I can happily live without ever watching that again.

Thing is, I have never watched either A Clockwork Orange or Fight Club, and have not particular wish to ever do so. I'd rther sit through nine hours of LotR again, with a Hobbit chaser. (I still might. I'm feeling like listening to the actor commentaries.)

10,000BC is a recent movie, unlike the other's it's clumped with, and should have known better on a LOT of things. It deserves all the nitpicking >:{

Some movies really are just bad. I agree that there are cases where people jump on the bandwagon of hating just because it's cool, but come on Theodore Rex was a direct to video movie about a detective in the future who teamed up with someone wearing a dinosaur suit. It was bad. I was only thirteen when Lost World came out. I wasn't following movie reviews or anything like that. But I loved JP, and I left the movie very disappointed. The rest I haven't seen or don't really remember well enough, except for Batman Forever which I somewhat enjoyed? Batman and Robin on the other hand... such pain.
