4. In response to the second part - I don't like her artwork either. Most of it bears little resemblence to the character it's supposed to be. I think people only like it because of her willingness to draw pretty much anything.

I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. A couple of episodes I watch after looking at her art, almost EVERYTHING they did was a little frilly. But I just find it funny that I never noticed it before. XD

Not!secret 1: Er...people do that? I was under the impression that most people who watch Atla also like anime..? And you know, even if they DO hate anime but love Atla, that's perfectly justified. Because other than the artwork and continuity, there aren't many more similarities. As in the lack of often annoying slapstick anime humor that turns most people off in the first place.

Ginny was shy and a klutz only around Harry. She had the guts to send her that ridiculous, lousy valentine in her first year, she stole Fred and George's brooms when she was little, etc- she wasn't some blushing little shy thing normally. It was just her crush that kept her from being herself around Harry.

How on earth were they supposed to ever have a relationship if she kept only stuttering and knocking down things whenever they were together?

I agree that she needed to progress from that, but I still don't like how suggestive she acted around him, it weirded me out. D: Like winking at him when someone said her dress was too low-cut or whatever? And being like, "MY BIRTHDAY PRESENT FOR YOU IS MY BODY~~~" Eugh. It was TOO MUCH of a change, I would have liked for her to have at least had more modesty around him still.

Personally I was shipping Luna/Harry, but when Ginny popped up in the sixth book with her drastically different personality and stole the show from all the other female characters I was PISSED. I would've been a lot less bitter if Harry and Finny showed some actual romantic interaction before hand...

26. I feel the mangetism in Edward/Lazlo too, but I don't actually ship Camp Lazlo because I'd feel too much like a furry.

29) Sigh. While I can understand the feeling... you can't expect everyone to have had a PS1 back in 97 -- or to have been old enough to be interested in Final Fantasy titles. Man, I was still playing Sega Genesis (Ecco the Dolphin whooo!), and even if I had had a PS1, I don't think I would have enjoyed Final Fantasy games because I was too young to understand the system. Now I'm older and I'm interested. What's the harm? I mean, what can we do? Can't really invent a time machine to go back in time and convince our younger selves to look into the game. Sorry. :/

I realize that an influx of new fans can be irritating, but eventually they'll get over their phase and the new fans who really love it, the ones who aren't just doing it 'cause it's cool and 'cause all their friends are doing it, will stick around while the rest move on.

17. HP takes place over many years. People change as they grow older, and that's what Ginny did. I can see why some people don't like it, but you can hardly expect all the characters to remain static all the time.

24. I'm still trying to figure out how KH "lends itself to HS AUs." The majority of characters either are older or look older than HS age. :/

37. No matter how hard I try, I can't see why everyone calls Aerith a sue. Tifa always struck me as closest thing to a sue.

Okay, I just have to ask this: What exactly makes Tifa a Sue? If you ask the fandom, she would probably be more popular if she hadn't done the fuck-ups she did. In other words, if she had been a truly flawless Mary Sue. Mind you, I don't think that Aeris qualifies as a Sue either.

17. I don't know, I kind of felt like Ginny was finally being herself around Harry. Ron mentions in CoS (I think) that she's usually not that shy. We really didn't see Ginny's personality when she wasn't clamming up and blushing around Harry until after she "got over him."

29 - Okay, maybe my late fandom arrival means I can't truly appreciate Crisis Core the way people who've waited since the original game can; I'm sorry, I didn't have access to it back then and it's a bit late to change that. But just lemme say this: not all of us who weren't "in b4 Compilation" are zombie fanbrats who are only in it for "teh preti bois & teh boobies" or because it's the cool thing to do right now. Some of us HAVE gone out of our way to find and play the game, and appreciate it, and all its characters, on their own merits, without the Compilation.

32 - Oh gods, I used to be the same exact way. I like to think I've gotten a little better -- I comment much more than I used to -- but I still spend forever agonizing over what to write in my comments (I can't ever write up a quick response in 5-10 minutes), and I get so self-conscious when people don't reply. But please, don't give up!

I DID read the back of the book. But I've read books with totally misleading back-blurbs before, so I figured I'd give it a shot.

7. Never understood the logic of saying that everyone is bi, because some characters seem too obviously straight or gay to me, but I don't like it when people say someone can't like a pairing because it doesn't happen in canon. Everyone should just ship what they want to.

9. She was my favorite. I think I liked her because I'm a fan of kick-butt females. Never finished the series (and I used to read it wildly out of order), so I didn't know she had so many bad qualities (or died.)
