Holy shit do I ever know what you mean!
Clari's not my favorite character, but VoH is so ridiculously underappreciated that it makes me want to cry. I try to get my friends to read it, but they're all like "Meh." and I want to be like "You have no idea what you're missing out on!!!! VoH beats the hell out of any mainstream big-name series!"
I'm glad the commercial translators won't ever pick it up though. I'll take the tiny and underappreciated fandom over "huge and idiotic" any day.

I do agree that American comics has some awesome shit going that gets very underrated, but on the other hand, I think it'd be easier for people to see the awesome parts if it weren't bogged down with constant retcons and if people stayed dead (Summers family, I'm lookin' at you!)

I can't believe I just went through three pages of comments and only one person knew of Noel Fielding. That's a travesty.

And, I am the same way. I already kinda dressed like him before, and I kinda look like him too, but now it's like I'm assimilating the man. I even cosplayed Old Gregg (http://a546.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/16/l_4aef53637ed06d974512b66311b87fc1.jpg). It's sad.

I used to watch this every time it came on with my brother. Even the Laughing Fish episode, which was played almost weekly and despite the fact that we were kinda tired of that episode, we still watched it because... BATMAN. I love this series. So. Freaking. Much.

God, I am so sick of the FF7 secrets. There's at least one in every secrets post, and they're always the same. "I'm a fan and I haven't played the game!" "I think fans who haven't played the game should GTFO!" "I think elitists who think fans who haven't played the game should GTFO should GTFO!" "I played the game but I still got into the fandom through AC, what does that make me, huh?"

Though I'm biased, because personally, I tried to play FF7 and found it not to be that interesting. And AC was pretty to look at if you turned the sound/subtitles off and didn't pay any attention to whatever plot it was supposed to have.

9. I used to think Rachel was strong, when I first started reading the series. This was when I was about 8 years old... but after a while, I stopped liking Rachel, and admiring Marco, Tobias and Ax (I was never fond of Jake and Cassie, because they were lovey-dovey. When I was 10 it was totally not cool.) and seeing how Rachel changed. When I first read the ending, I was sad that Rachel died... but now I see why once I'm older. It's kinda surprising that such a series turned out so deep overall, for me at least.

♥ ♥ ♥ Started here when I was nine; I think it finished when I was twelve. This series was my SOUL. And wasn't it amazing how much it changed, what the ending was? Katherine Applegate cannot be adored enough for the guts it took to do that with such a popular "children's" series. ...Seriously, I'm nineteen now and still rave about it at any given opportunity.

I said to someone else's comment that really - though Rachel looked the strongest, she was actually one of the weakest. Look at what happened the book she actually became leader. And everyone else showed strength in such other amazing ways.

God, amazing characterisation. I'll never get over the Animorphs, I'll re-read the series when I'm sixty.

(P.S. I wanted to marry Aximili. Seriously. But I really, really loved Tobias and Marco too.)

doin' it wrong: Admittedly, I don't understand the wing!fic thing (I would just say it wingfic) but when you say evil!Sam, that sort of implies that what you are getting in the fic is NOT Sam as seen in canon, but rather an evil version thereof. And that's where the ! comes from.

9: Did you even fucking read the first half of the series? Go pick up The Separation, for Christ's sakes. Hell, read the David trilogy over again. Rachel knows she's fucked up in the head and she struggles with it. She struggles with the fact that the people she cares the most about - Jake, Tobias and Cassie - know it too. Don't even talk about KAA's "message," because the only books where she "snaps at Jake" and acts like you described without having serious internal conflict are the BS books like The Weakness where there's CLEARLY a ghost-writer and not KAA herself behind the scenes. I'm not saying I strive to be like Rachel, but I have no idea where the hell you're getting this image of her as a bloodthirsty bitch who isn't happy unless she's killing something.

7/ Well, I'm all for shipping whatever you like, but all these "everyone's bisexual until proven otherwise" pushes all the wrong buttons in me; I think it's just as bad as saying "everyone's straight/gay until proven blah blah blah...". As for myself, I was never one to delegate sexuality to each and every character I come across with; I mean, seriously, what for?

29/ I tremble at the moment when hundreds of OOC-Zack fics would be infesting the net.

37/ It's amazing how every main female character I've played in games was, in one way or another, called a Sue just because she's seemingly nice and sweet. Ironic thing is, Aeris never came off as overly nice to me; she appeared very selfish that time when Tseng was about to die at the temple for example. I do admit that she was underdeveloped (as well as for the rest of the cast, even Cloud); it would do good though for people to stop always equating an underdeveloped character to a Mary Sue because if that were always the case, then everyone would be a Sue.

Maybe I worded it wrong and I'm not going to even go into the Kinsey Scale, but what I'm saying is WHY is is such a crime to think a character could be bi? All I'm saying is real sexuality is far too fluid to pigeonhole, and people bitching about "they have to be straight or gay, no exceptions" only makes me feel more marginalized than I already do.
