3. Um I saw an AMV using that anime once and not much disturbs or squicks me but that was a liitle too much. I had to close my eyes during some of it cause there was something so fundamentally upsetting about the images to me.

I'm certainly not saying that anyone who does watch it is a psycho or anything so obscenely overgeneralized, but it was too much for me, and I won't ever watch that series cause I think it takes things further than I am comfortable with in some scenes. I don't doubt it probably has a good plot though >.>!

3. Admittedly, the first season is a little heavy on the "LOLz, KILLER LOLI" aspect, but the story is actually very intricate and in depth. That's why I watch the series, not just for its disturbing factor.

I assume this comes in light of that Japanese girl who killed her father with an ax... Whether or not that has something to do with Higurashi is debatible, but most people aren't like that. Certainly no show is going to alter a person enough for him or her to start killing people if they have a healthy life otherwise. The girl who killed her father with an ax did NOT have a healthy home environment (I think there was cheating going on or something).

08) Huh. One of my Friends Listers is obsessed with Kakuzu and just about all their Friends List loves him too. Plus, I figured as long as a character is Akatsuki = INSTA-POPULARITY/FANDOM/FAN HAREM. I must be in the wrong side of the fandom.
16) I don't know how that other guy is -- I almost want to say David Bowie but I suck with faces and I bet I'm wrong on that one too -- but that's definitely rofl-worthy. The resemblance is definitely there. XD
17) I've never played any of the Silent Hill franchise, but dag is he one fine specimen of hot man! If I were in the fandom, I promise you wouldn't be alone. ^.^;;

26. Holy shit, that always happens to me, too! Not with every character, but I have so many favourite characters where I'll look back at how I wrote them or how they are in cannon and think, "Shit, he's like my dad. oO;" and I end up feeling really sick. Electra complex FTL. DX

IAWTS. Mature pairings make for a more mature story, I've found. I recommend Fumi Yoshinaga - her pairings tend (not always but often) to transcend mere seme/uke dichotomies. Even when they don't though, the ukes are never "boys" per se and the seme don't have that much over them, psychologically or physically.

I'm not much of a fan either, but unfortunately for you they're still releasing his stuff for the last book. Which is apparently a pretty decent amount of writing.

Also unfortunately for you, death tends to bring attention to authors' work. Kurt Vonnegut is a good example of this.
